Thank u so much this video. I lived there 6 years and my son still stay there and now i discovered my longawaited son in this film as walking on the street. Sensation for me!
I used to live in willesden green at St. Gabriel Road in the early 80s. Now is the time down to the memory lane..l enjoyed watching your video very much..
Such great nostalgic memories. I lived there in the 80s 90s and early 2000s in Peter Avenue. It was my childhood and young adulthood home. I remember walking up and down those streets nearly everyday to get the tube or the bus. I remember when the Sainsbury's was Gateway and I would go there as a child with my mum. Oh how I miss it all so deeply.
I am from Guatemala, central America. I went to The UK in 2007 and Willesden Green was the first place where I stayed. It is very dear to my heart and I recognize most of this. The library was being rebuilt, I suppose. I miss Sainsbury's.
there come to my mind a lot of memories; 1982 I leaved in Willesden Green close to that Library... Staverton Road; The Spotted Dog met lot of friends, Wish to be there again...........thanks to you for posting this video xxx
Continuing on from previous comment. How it has all changed! Another world really. I hardly recognise it in this video. Very few people owned a car so we were able to play in the street, especially in Gowan Road which is a cul-de-sac. Travelled everywhere on buses and the Tube, or walked.
I used to live round the corner from Willesden Green tube station on Dartmouth Road. This was my old beat. Walking up and down the High Road and calling in to 'The Spotted Dog' in the evening for a pint.
I lived in Willesden, (Essex Road- house bombed in 1940, Gowan Road and Church Road), from 1936 to 1960. Went to Dudden Hill School and St Andrew’s School and Brondesbury and Kilburn High School for Girls

Lived here from childhood. Happy memories.. but it looks so bleak and miserable. Happy to be elsewhere.
