This may sound odd, but I think what makes this song so effective for me is its use of silence and pauses before pushing into one section of orchestral crescendo into the next, kinda hitting you like a tidal wave one after another. And it easily works in the game's leitmotiv as it does. It adds to the drama of the boss fight you participate in, fighting something in the likeness of yourself, but unlike you and anything else you've faced before. It's neither man nor kemono. It is a higher entity that has existed well before now, in its basest form, with unknown intent and purpose beyond understanding. And its first inclination before even fully forming was to end your life. It is the Celestial Being.
I like to think that because it's made up from butterflies that suck up the celestial threads from carcasses after anything dies... You're actually fighting everything that you've slain during your journey. Since you were turning their hides and horns into armor and weapons, it's the soul of every animals simply returning the favor and putting on the form that posed the biggest threat to all life: You. When the Celestial Being dashes and teleports around, it's what the kemonos see when fighting you.
Absolutely loved the soundtrack. The entire game gave a Princess Mononoke vibe visually and soundtrack wise. The credit song just ended it on such a wonderful note. Made for an emotional ending with such a OST backing it. Can’t brag on it enough.
One of the Best Battle Themens in the whole game. This Guy was a Real Surprise for me and for me it was an really epic fight against him. After beating a huge Dragon a souls like Being stands in front of you for the last trial.
The whole soundtrack of Wild Hearts is amazing. I thought Toukiden had a great soundtrack, wild hearts was like hold my beer. I hope we get an official release of this soundtrack.
