I’ve only just come back to watch this video after not having followed the story since black ops 4, and the strangest thing to me is Samantha being called “Maxis”, I’m used to her dad being called Maxis, and Samantha just being called her first name 😂
I'm glad they included the outbreak easter eggs as well, since I mostly only do the round based maps so this fills in the gaps that I didn't experience.
The story is so complex and insane and all the hidden easter eggs makes everything past black ops 3 need it's own game campaign style with the story playing out the way it's meant to be seen.
Zykov is definitely the forsaken, grows really strong from being in the dark aether for so long (look at sam's powers after three days), the Russians locked him into the lab on a death mission so he was "forsaken"

The forsaken got sent in to stop the portal but instead he enters it to become the strongest thing in there to then come back out of it to kill samather which is an amazing idea because he technically time travels to present day and doesn't age and gets to steal her dark arther power... also that's why peak chucks her in there so the forsaken can kill her and peak knows of his existence? But instead it makes her more powerful. Also quick note at the end of the recap it shows the loading screen of the actual map and you didn't notice the footage of the rcxd? it wasnt in the original trailer...
Wonder if that means Zykov's actually the Forsaken (or became something akin to it), after shutting down the Cyclotron and getting trapped in the Dark Aether.
A no HUD option would actually be really nice, I think games with no HUD tend to be more immersive and they have to be more clever about how they give the player important information which I like.
I have no interest in Vanguard, think I have tried to force myself to enjoy CoD over the years but I cant just keep buying it for zombies now. Doesn’t mean I’m not looking forward to watching all of its zombie content here though:) Still love to keep up with the story.

I’ve literally tried to push it with videos, tweets ect.. but no one wanted to know but now it’s been said by Treyarch it’s all most people wanna talk about.. 🙃 it’s harder being a small creator and trying to push a point for everyone to sink their teeth into.. all I hope now is my hard work pays off and I’m proven right.
Don't know if it's already been talked about, but at least one of the hints he's referencing for "eagle-eared" players, is an Intel radio where Strauss talks about not knowing if he has the strength to help close up the dark aether and thereby destroy the worth of all the research he's done. Strauss then references someone in from ww2, a demonologist, who went through the same struggle while facing a similar issue. I figure this demonologist will be our "Strauss" for the next game.
Milo, I miss the days of watching your videos on the Aether storyline…how you invested so much time and brain power into connecting the dots, specially when Blundell released the timeline for BO3. Now, Treyarch has to do it for you…or should I say, for themselves as you were the backbone for a decade. Man, time has flown by. At least you’re still popping up when it’s necessary. Hopefully we get 4 main characters that we play as the further we get into this story. Honestly the team I would assemble is Maxis, Ravenov, Weaver and Eddie, however we have no idea if Eddie is alive in this universe so maybe someone else instead. That'd be so cool
I'm dumbfounded that they haven't tied him in this late in the game. Alot of folks on this channel figured Richtofen was the mysterious traveler but turns out it was just Ravenov. The last hail mary theory i heard was he might be the director but I'm like 2 months behind on this narrative.

That'd be cool, it's technically possible but unlikely, unless they were to send specific characters back in time (grey, carver strauss and maxis maybe) as they'd have to port all the cold war operators over otherwise

I keep telling people time is different in the dark aether and there's no way zykov could still be alive but they keep saying the inversion warheads were actually for the forsaken but in the outbreak cutscene ravenov changes course to the Pacific and you can see it was originally set to New York with other yellow markers around the east coast. That's not where the forsaken is? It just makes it seem like maxis is right and "kravchenco lied" about pulling the wool over us
I personally dont want sam to die. Shes the last character from the aether story that remains(besides eddie, but we havent seen him yet). Treyarch already killed off primis and ultimus in a lame way. I really wanna see sam get a happy ending.

The playable characters are not the story. The story is everything but the characters. The Main characters are Samantha, Weaver, Director, Ravenov. The enemies are The Foresaken, and Omega and The Nazis.

I don't really know, all I do is that zombies feels a bit empty with out the og 4, was playing since WaW and now they're gone I'm kind of getting bored of the story. Also, playing 4 characters you miss out on the story between them, the comedy, the tragedy, it feels like it's taking itself a bit to serious, even with primis you still had some comedy and yeah a lot of tragedy. And yeah the first 2 maps were but one of the most played maps in WaW was der riese so untill Bo1 that mostly what people were playing, I know I'm living in the past but primis and ultimus got a shitty ending and shitty maps in bo4. I somewhat care for maxid but not really, zombies used have some light in it but now it's just sooooo serious that what I used to love about the game is just gone, cold war imo could have been brilliant but the fact we have operators that couldnt give damn about just ruins it, in my opinion. Honestly a hardcore zombie mode, with limited or no hud, less resources perhaps and with increased damage and set zombie damage/hp would be really cool; where the main challenge is both logistics aswell as the amount of zombies instead of just same zombie higher hp/dmg.

Can someone link me an indepth full storyline of coldwar, im a little confused about it but the closest i can get to an indepth one starts at origins and ends when sam goes into the tunnel. I need to know EVERYTHING from die machina onwards to what ever this is about the forsaken and maxis. All i can find is "forsaken ending explained" but i dont want any spoilers till i filly know the previous bits
Can't you pretty much turn off the HUD in the settings?
I haven't messed around with it too much, but I think you can turn off basically everything.
