  • Welcome to the inaugural 2022 No Name Nationals event at Jeffers Motorsports Park just outside of Sikeston Missouri! The premise behind this event is pretty straight forward, pull together a bunch of smaller automotive TH-cam channels in one location over a weekend and give us a playground to show off, network, and do some shenanigans safely! With more than 100 cars registered and on the property we had an INCREDIBLE time with folks from all over the country!
    The only real qualification to be able to attend for a channel was to reach 500 Subscribers, which CAN be quiet a challenge and as you'll see a few folks even got their final subs at the GATE! We heard about this shin dig in the summer on Hot Rod Power Tour from our new friend Jay of Irish Outlaw Garage and immediately agreed, we HAD to attend.
    So as you hopefully all saw in the most recent videos with the yellow 1970 Pontiac LeMans we have the rear end upgrades complete, taking it from an open rear differential with 2.78 : 1 gears to an Eaton Posi with 3.36 : 1 gears. In addition Rich has fixed much of the sketchiness with the 4 wheel drum brakes so we should be good for a whole weekend of fun!
    Through the entire weekend we met SO many awesome passionate people and had a wonderful time chatting with everyone. There are FAR too many people to mention here but if you enjoy their projects or personalities please remember to call them out in the comments and even support THEIR channels!
    Huge thanks as always to all our subscribers, followers, fans, and customers who have made our business successful and gotten our channel to where it is today. Special thanks to the SRC / Street Racing Channel / SRC Garage / Old Man's Garage / Junkyard Digs folks for showing such amazing support for us over the past several months. Without all of you we wouldn't be anywhere near where we are today. We hope you enjoy this one!

    I am thinking that track figures reaction time differently , I think by hearing some of the rest of the people's time slips , .500 is a perfect light. Below .500 is a red light , other tracks use .000 as perfect. It could be because it's an AHRA track.

    • @LucoreAuto
      @LucoreAuto  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's very possible I was definitely "cheating the light" to get a better and better RT. 😉 all in all this was more of a 60/330 test for me and the 70 LeMans to see what the posi and gears did for us.
      We were definitely a lot more relaxed with rules and everything than a typical "track day" which was TOTALLY fine with me.

  • @Loki13M
    @Loki13M ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Awesome stuff Austin! That red dodge pickup next to you looked like a beast I'd love to get my hands on, was hoping ya would give it a closer look but it's all good, only so much ya can get in a day!
    Nice to see ya give the burnout comp a whirl, decent showing for trying to preserver the tires bud! 👍🏼
    But Austin, why no tools, spare parts or spare tires? It' not like ya don't have the room in that trunk! Just think of how much faster it would run on street slicks!

    • @LucoreAuto
      @LucoreAuto  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There were quite a few absolute beasts on the property unfortunately I knew this was already way longer than most people would watch. 🙃
      The no tools or parts ... it's just kinda become my "thing" I guess over the years. Of all the crazy road trips I've done like the 25002500s, the Powertours, all that stuff I've always gone out without a safety net. Part of that is confidence in what I'm driving, part of that is pure stupidity 😉
      It's easily a 12 second car on a slick for sure. Just doing the napkin math it should be trapping somewhere in the 110mph range or so. On a slick with a 1.6-1.8 60 foot... she's in the 12s. But part of the challenge for me has always been street tires on street cars, I know I'm kinda a weirdo about that.

    • @Loki13M
      @Loki13M ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LucoreAuto Guess I'm just older and more paranoid about my vehicles lol, each one I have has its own small basic toolkit and a few commonly failed parts. Been stranded too many times far from home on the road due to small things I guess.
      And I get wanting to keep a daily street car more driveable with stock tires... think I'm just a bit eager to see yer Poncho go faster lol! Bad habit of mine, I tend to push friends/family towards upgrades on their cars without thought to how they use them on an every day basis.
      You keep doing you though brother, ya know im down for just about any show.
