did jed just say Poirier is a bigger star than Islam ??? you got to check the numbers my friend, because In absolutely every way you want to look at it Islam is actually a much bigger star than dustin (which even me was surprised when I checked the numbers)
Poirier 's ppv number even after the two brutal victory over conor when he fought oliviera he did 500k ppv (which is very good numbers but)
Islam after being promoted by khabib for a whole year did 700k ppv against oliviera and 600k against volk...
and than if you want to look at the other numbers like their views in interviews, octagon interviews, post fight press conference, and insta following Islam is a significantly bigger star than Poirier...

    • @nikobellic9004
      @nikobellic9004 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

the other thing I thought was a terrible take by jed was that Poirier did better against Islam than he did against oliviera.... Did poirier at any point in this fight almost killed Islam like he did oliviera?
Dude poirier was killing oliviera until he started making amateur mistakes and got choked standing up, poirier dropped oliviera 3 times in the first round even tho official they only scored 1 (so clearly a 10-9 round or even a 10-7) for poirier.
Also poirier stuffed all of oliviera' s take down attempts,
Now against Islam poirier did very well he was very competitive, but he arguably didn't win a single round, he also didn't scored any knockdown even hurt Islam like he tmdid to oliviera.
Now against khabib it was a different story...

@@nikobellic9004that’s your opinion, but dustin went 5 rounds with islam and defended several takedowns, when Islam was on Dustin Islam wasn’t heavy, when khabib was on Dustin, khabib was too heavy. And Charles finished Dustin lol there’s no destroying Charles until you actually do it, arman did whoop Charles though, because he out wrestled Charles and out struck Charles, Charles won the first round, but arman won rounds 2 and 3

It was 4-0 going into 5, for Islam, there’s not really any case to be made otherwise. When a fighter performs better than we expected that doesn’t mean he actually won any rounds.

lol poirier getting 25 million? Lol how did you come up with that number jed? Dmt? even conor didn't get that money against nate diaz...
25 million is what conor got payed for the Floyd fight lol after dana took 75% or so of the 90 million payed day he got, conor was still on that old old contract, and he got the better contract just before the khabib fight.
And the khabib fight is actually conor's biggest pay day which not a lot of people know.
poirier and nate both got payed 2 million against conor even if they had the belt when fighting conor at most they would get payed 5 or 7 million at most which is still big money.
Most ufc champion only gets around a 5% cut of the ppv only huge stars like conor, gsp or even khabib get payed a lot more than that.
For example Ronda rosey one time said to tmz her biggest pay was 5 million which is crazy because some her figts generated nears 100 million in revenue for the ufc and (ppv, tickets sells and other stuff).

Besides being the most technically sound striker in the UFC, with one of the nastiest switch kicks. Leon also has some of the best defensive wrestling in the UFC. He was officially the first to score a takedown on Usman with that textbook inside trip that Henry Cejudo likes to use.
Leon is also better in the clinch with his kick boxing style, with his taller frame. I see him being able to utilize knees in tight. Islams knee that landed on a 5’9” Poirier ain’t landing on a 6’2” Edwards.
