Thanks Chad for the wonderful videos you create. I too own a Dakota - wonderful airplane - question: what ipad model are you using and how are you mounting? Ex: type of mounts etc. i’ve had much trouble installing an ipad mini 5 as it’s not too flexible on the yoke for good viewing in a Dakota. Also, note your power settings are much different than my POH as you keep your MAN almost full most of the time yet change the prop - is your engine the O-540jxxxx - keep up the great work.
Thanks for watching my videos! The ipad mini 6 is on my yoke and i use the mygoflight mounting system which is infinitely adjustable. When I put the new panel and avionics in I made sure to have them not place anything in that blind spot behind the ipad.My engine is the O-540j and most of the time leave the throttle full forward until I land. I get my power settings from SAVVY AVIATION, they also analyze every single flight I make after I send them the engine data from the engine monitor, which i do after every flight on the same day. Good luck on that ipad mount I know you will find that sweet spot!
@@dreamcatchercowboy Excellent Chad - time for me to go shopping - i currently have 2 G5’s and recently removed a 530 for a new 750xi system which is working great. I really enjoy your videos - time for that $150 hamburger - you got yourself a new subscriber too !
@@TCASBV I am excited for you my brother! Send some photos to me with all that new stuff when it is all done. Thank you for the nice comments and for subscribing!
Just got the plane back Chad - 750xi is amazing - working great. Need an email address you’d like for me to send you the photos. We’ll have to meet sometime if you’re ever in SoCal or maybe Gateway in AZ - time to bring the wives too ! Not during summer - my Dakota gets very hot very easy - lol
Michelle and I just flew a cross country for a steak dinner and I screwed up the video on the GoPro. I will get another one hopefully soon. Thanks for the anticipation!
@@dreamcatchercowboy Actually, thought of you tonight driving around on the back roads where we live. It was a beautiful evening, and like you, I thanked the Lord for the blessings. Have a great Memorial Day!
Thanks for watching. That is a valid question.the only reason I do that is the Dakota is very nose heavy, and the ESP auto disconnects at 300 feet agl. The ESP will push back against my yoke to keep me from over trimming on final because it don’t want to get too slow which is a good thing. For me and my Dakota I prefer to start trimming the airplane up long before that altitude and I am not comfortable with the autopilot going against me. The only way I know that I’m getting the correct trim is when I must keep a slight push on the yoke, helps tremendously for the smooth flare.
This video could save a lot of lives thank you
Thanks for watching!
Thanks Chad for that upload and the story. The story is sure to inspire. Have a great weekend!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching.
