I don't usually do this, as I consider myself a silent viewer, but oh boy, I need to share. I remember stumbling across you, Morgan, in late 2019. (It was your Cozy Reading Vlog) I was going through a terribly rough patch in my life, everything and anything from financial security, starting my undergraduate, self-worth issues, you name it. I used to watch bookish videos(and still do) as my little relaxing time. I decided to use such a bar instead of scrolling through my subscriptions. I came across your lovely video and instantly became enamored with you. With your natural curiosity, bubble personality, raw and open feelings, and childlike wonder, I knew from then that you needed to become a staple in my everyday life. I remember looking at your subscriber count and seeing a number between 2-3K. I can't quite remember. And as you have said, numbers don't matter. However, I thought it was crazy that someone with such artistry and pure magic to create a video so comforting hadn't reached mass recognition. I remember saying to myself, "she's gonna grow and spread love and hope everywhere she goes." And Mo, you've done it! I have seen your ups and downs over the past three years, and wow! I am so proud of you and everything you have accomplished. You are truly amazing and a true inspiration! I am forever grateful to have you in my life. You have taught me to respect and value myself, to take time for myself, and breathe. All that being said, my fellow Scorpio (our birthdays are a day apart), don't forget to take time for yourself. Feeling stuck is okay; remember to take your time and have breaks. Also, you are an incredible videographer, but don't outdo yourself! You are human, and humans deserver detachments from even their favorite things on earth.
Hi silent viewer, what a wonderful message, I got goosebumbs am I'm not even morgan! At times I found it easier to say beautiful words to another person than to myself. Thereby I want to say that you are a beautiful person too!! ❤ Maybe you're now in a better place than how you described it those years ago, but I just wanted to say this to you!
@@MorganLong I agree with everything Liv said. Although I personally found it a bit hard to identify my life with yours, your magic still managed it's way deep into my heart.. I also just wanted to add that with you, bubbliness and child like wonder feel natural in contrast to other TH-cam channels ( like darling Desi) where they try super hard to showcase something you naturally have. It feels fake and fabricated, the excessive raindeer-y makeup and the childishness, faking excessive reactions to simple things.. it's just not the same as the natural stuff you channel so keep that in mind. I would love to see movie recommendations from you sometime:) doesn't have to be cozy it could be anything as long as you liked it!! I wish you a warm loving end of the day ❤️
What a fantastic story with that stranger in the bookstore!! And boy does he have good taste in books - the Red Rising trilogy is not only one of my favorites of the year but genuinely of all time ❤️
@Daniela Sacerdoti oh absolutely! I should have mentioned that in my comment above. I usually recommend it with a strong warning about the violence - but my word that series is so excellent!!
I'm not a commenter, but I wanted to say that I love your videos! For my recent grad school course, I wrote a final paper about how you have used your TH-cam platform to build a warm, welcoming environment for subscribers. It was so fun to rewatch your videos and look at the analytics/data that support how much you care for subscribers (and vice versa). I got an A on the paper 🙂 Thank you for doing what you do and I’m enjoying vlogmas!
Soooo good to see that folk are still buying beautiful books to read, and not just using the computer to do so. There is nothing quite like the feel of a real book, and the pleasure of turning the pages. We all need a bit of that magic you talk about Morgan, every day, so important to keep us alive and happy! Love and Blessings to you, beautiful girl, from a cold Devon, England - snow forecast for midday , yepee! xxx
The message at the end is so relevant to what I’m feeling now.. all these perfect routines and productivity make me so anxious I can’t get out of the bed until noon sometimes😢
Dear Morgan - please don’t ever feel that you need “perfect” videos. I look forward to your Vlogmas every year. They inspire me and bring me calm. I’m loving the format this year being more authentic. And the message at the end from a viewer really hit home. There’s so much social media pressure to have a perfect life, and we inevitably compare ourselves negatively to others that seem to have it all together. It’s so important this time of year to be your authentic self, understand that your life may not be like others on social media and go wit( the flow for you. Being truly present is the gift I hope to give myself and m6 family this Christmas.
Morgan thank you so much for your videos! This past year has been a challenge and right before Thanksgiving I was told, along with my 5 co-workers (I am a chaplain at a hospital) that our positions were being eliminated, with our last day being December 31. Your videos have been a respite of calm, joy and peace in what has felt like a chaotic year. I read Wintering at the beginning of this year as I was recovering from surgery and it was exactly what I needed. I also read The Christmas Bookshop last Christmas season and it was a true delight (just like all of Jenny Colgan’s books). Once again, thank you for bringing your videos to all of us!! Merry Christmas!! 🎄
Morgan, I'm really loving the Vlogmas season, thank you so much for this time that you give us and for being my safe place; actually the Bookstore vlogs are my favorite ones, Powell's look so great that it's one of my dreams going there and buy a lot of books
My favourite reads are The Lion the witch and the wardrobe. I’m also reading the York series by Laura Ruby it’s an easy fun and fully immersive read. I’m looking for more books to add to my Xmas wish list so this is perfect timing. 🙂 PS: the message at the end was so heartwarming ❤
Also, this year I was diagnosed with CRPS and your videos have truly helped me when my pain levels are at a very high level. So thank you for your gift of videos and your creativity. 💕
wait the thumbnail already has me emotional😂 whenever you’re facing that way in powell’s as the thumbnail it brings me right back to the bookstore vlog when i first found your channel😭🥹
Thank you for that message Amber! 💕 I so needed to hear that. It is so hard not to feel not good enough when we look at social media as we move through Real life. I love the quote that you shared! ✨️ Morgan thank you for taking us to Powells! 🥺📚☕️ I must say your hair looks so pretty rolled up like that and you are glowing! Roo is so cute and sweet and the magical Christmas decor looks so cozy in your home! Thank you for this comforting video! I think I am going to look for Snow and Rose to read this year. I've seen it in so many of your videos and have always wanted to read it. 🎄
Your vlogmas is so heartwarming, Mo ❤️ Thank you for putting yourself out there and giving us imperfect videos. I'm so so enjoying them! I love your book recommendations and will need to give some of them a try, especially The Book Wanderers 📖 😊
Can't wait to hear your thoughts on Red Rising. I've never read it but it's quite popular. Also, I really love your book recommendations! They seem to be oh so cozy (my TBR gets bigger and bigger every day). I'm all about things that make life cozy especially as it gets colder and darker. I remember coming across your videos back in early 2020 and I've been a loyal viewer since then! A couple of videos that comes to mind is "BOOKSTORE VLOG || Powell's Shopping on a Cozy Rainy Night" (Peppermint Tea is one of my Favs!) and "READING VLOG || Jane Austen's 'Emma' & online book shopping". I'm so happy I came across your channel! Your content warms my heart!
Thank you for your videos! I had no idea what to get my 2 yo nephew for Christmas. That was until you shared about the Night Before Christmas book! I picked up one for my nephew and one for myself!
i love the history with a stranger. i think t is so beautiful that people can act like this, guided by curiosity, kindness and love. that was an amazing vlog, and i really appreciate you and your craft
I had my German friend in northern Germany embody hygge when I have visited her both in summer and in winter. It is amazing when you truly FEEL how to stop, enjoy, and relax in the moment. The breakfast candle says it all. (By the time you light a candle at breakfast in winter, you have stopped long enough to enjoy the moment.). Enjoy the holidays!
How wonderful the feeling of waking up and knowing that Mo will upload a video oh gosh love! It makes my day before it even starts. Also i loved this vlogmas where you suggest us books for Christmas 🎄 holiday. And omg it's always like that when thay ask for a song, book, band etc you like froze and forgot everything you know i hate when this happens because i have so much to say and i don't but when i go back home i am like "ahh i should have said that or that". Moreover one book that i read on xmas is that new J.K Rowling 'The Christmas Pig' it's the new one i have read it last year and i loved it! Well it's for kids but still it is really good one. Lat but not least, all of these holiday voice messages give me so much strength and i feel stronger to continue the rest of the day, thank you! ♥ ♥
Thank you so much for the book recommendations. I just finished A Christmas Carol and wasn't sure what to read next. I love Vlogmas Morgan. You've made my holiday special. Thank you for sharing.
I have also just bought “Wintering”! I can’t wait to read it! “The boy, the mole, the fox and the horse” is a book to rear over and over again! I have just finised reading “A wedding in December” and it was so nice and cozy! The message at the end had been perfect! Thank you! 🤗
Oh Goodnight Mr Tom is a treat! The TV adaptation was fantastic and makes us cry every time we watch it. My daughter studied that book in primary school and it’s a staple in UK schools. 84 Charing Cross Road is also an old favourite of mine 🥰 I am looking forward to reading some of your recommendations - Jenny Colgan is another fave 👍🏼
84 Charing Cross Road is an amazing story and the movie with Ann Bancroft and Anthony Hopkins is great as well. If anyone is traveling for the holidays, it is also a wonderful audio book. I recommend "The Gift of the Magi" as a short story to read at Christmas time.
I love 84, Charing Cross Road by Helene Hanff. I have read that book several times usually at least once a year for the last several years. I have read quite a few of your recommendations in this list. The Story of A. J. Fikry made me cry, it was both sad and wholesome.
Love this as usual! You never disappoint Morgan! Have faith that what you do is good work and you are so well loved by your viewers. Sometimes I read through comments on your videos and I know I'm not alone in my feelings. Happy Christmas 🎄 💓
Thank you Morgan, your book recommandations are always spot on! My TBR is always growing and growing. Thank god for public libraries 😅 Have a Merry Christmas 🎄
Hello from France ! I love Peter Pan ! During the Christmas time I also like reading some Christmas mysteries books. I recommend you the Mary Higgins Clark's christmas books. They're amazing! I don't remember the exact titles because I borrowed them to my local library a few years ago but it's easy to find them and it's very pleasant to read during this time of year ! The Christmas athmosphere is definitely here !
Cute book store story. When I die I think I'll come back and haunt Powell's and take all the time in the world to read all of the books that I want. And maybe help a customer who is searching for a book they can't find by pushing it off of the shelf. Your reading list is a good one!
Hello Morgan! Thank you so much for your book suggestions. Do you ever read cozy mysteries? There are several holiday cozies that are really delightful. I just finished a Vicky Delaney Christmas mystery and I loved it. Your videos are like a wonderful holiday treat! Thank you so much for sharing your holidays with your TH-cam family. ❤🎄
well it's fabulous how this channel feels to me like a place where we meet. Thank you Morgan for you kindly bringing us together and inviting us to have a warm cup of tea, or coffee and listen to good music, share our histories and books here at your place
My stars! I started to look up if you had any old holiday book recommendation videos, to see that you have just posted one! At such a time as this! Merry Christmas Morgan! Thank you for this
I'm loving vlogmas so much, Mo - it is so whimsical, thoughtful and genuine, and I appreciate all the work you put into it! ✨ Can't wait to hopefully get my hands on one of these books and read it for the holidays!🎄
It's been so lovely to watch your Vlogmas videos Morgan. My daughter has been unwell, so I've been off work to take care of her. It's been so nice to watch your videos with a cup of tea whilst she naps ❤
Lovely to see Little Women on that list, Morgan. My three nieces are the loves of my life. This year for christmas I'm giving them classics I liked as a kid (and still do). I'm giving Little Women to the 10 yr old, The Secret Garden to the 8 year old, and Heidi to the 5 year old. When The Secret Garden arrived, I found it so beautiful I had to get a copy (in that specific edition) for myself. It's the one illustrated by Inga Moore and it is a work of art.
Hello Morgan, Wintering by Katherine May is a phenomenal read, so absorbing, it will be a book you will return too again & again. Another book I love to read in the Winter & Christmas is The Christmas Chronicles by Nigel Slater. So pleased you received your Powell’s Gift Voucher.📚🎄❤️
I recommend Jenny Colgan's Christmas books! I'm almost done with The Christmas Bookshop which has a cameo from the family of Bookshop on the Shore (would spoil a plot point if you read the Christmas one first though). Also if you like hallmarky Christmas mysteries I recommend the trilogy from Jacqueline Frost, I listened to them all on audio and it was such a fun time!
Love red Rising series and wintering i can’t wait to read sounds magical 💚💚❤️❤️💚🎅🏻🎅🏻💚💚❤️💚❤️🎄🎄❤️❤️🎅🏻🎅🏻💚❤️❤️💚🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻❤️🎄💙🎄❤️🎅🏻🎅🏻💚❤️🎄🎄🎄🎄❤️💚💚🎅🏻💚💚🎄🎄❤️💚🎅🏻🎅🏻💚💚❤️
Just got a chance to sit down and enjoy this video like it deserves! Thank you for always sharing your heart and such quality content. I highly recommend A Cross-Country Christmas by Courtney Walsh. It's a 5 out of 5 for me!
Loved this video, Morgan! Have ordered "Snow and Rose"! I would in turn suggest "The Willows at Christmas" by William Horwood. It is a sequel to "The Wind in the Willows", with beautiful illustrations by Patrick Benson 😘
Thank you Morgan. I can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate you and your sharing your life with me. I am an elderly handicapped person who has been confined to my home for close to twenty years. Spending time with you, Landon and Roo brings so much joy to my heart. I loved "Hygge Holiday"!!! Hygge has been a tremendous blessing to me!!! I have had my eye on "Wintering" and would like to get it. I hope you enjoy it! Thank you for sharing your favorite books 📚 for the winter with us! ☺️ I love reading the book of Luke's account of the birth of Jesus Christ from the Holy Bible. He is at the center of my life and the reason why I celebrate Christmas. ☺️💕 I also really love a beautifully illustrated children's book called "Annika's Secret" about a little girl from Sweden and Christmas celebrations in their culture. Another very old book that is marvelous leading up to Christmas is "Elin's Amerika". It is about a young girl and her family who immigrate to what was then called Amerika from Sweden. It has all kinds of interesting happenings that inform the reader of what the early settlers thought of coming to the new land and their lives during that time. Christmas is the climax of the story. Thank you again!!! 💕☺️
Hi Morgan! For the most part I hardly comment on your videos. I enjoy the cozy vibes though. I just finished reading the Little Princess. It's a little different from the movies of the story. But it teaches you how to overcome adversities. I'm also a fan of the classics. I love Little Women, and the March Sisters. I'm also into all historical novels & romances too, especially the Regency & Victorian eras.
🥰 I normally watch one of your videos as I wake up and go about my day because they make me feel like I have a friend with me to start the day together and this morning I was surprised by a new video you uploaded 😍 loved the bookstore and your goofiness when you transform slip ups into a part of the video. I actually love these sequences so much, they make me laugh a lot^^ Goofy Morgan is a mood XD I can relate so much and I am so glad you bring her out ever so often! 💕
I know I'm late to this video, so I don't even know if you'll see this comment, but I wanted to recommend a book to you! Strength in Measure by LaKaysha (Elizabeth) Stenersen. I can't remember if it's on Amazon under her last name or her middle name, but it's a book written by a local to you!! Inspired by real places and happenings in her family, though it's fiction and set in a fictional town in Oregon. It's a Historical fiction about a family and the effects WWII had on them and their hometown. Very heartfelt and definitely a tear jerker, but I couldn't recommend this book enough! It can be found on both Amazon and Barnes and Noble (online). The author has also come out with a sequel that really brings the story together!! Merry Christmas, and God bless!! 💛
Me and my husband read the Red Rising series and it's absolutely incredible! Pierce Browns writing is amazing! It can get kind of gruesome in the later books, but hopefully you like it :)
My first thought was of pure bookish joy when I saw this, your passion is contagious, it felt like talking to a friend about books I loved it! Added The Storied to my TBR! Aww Little Women 🥰 There are more in the series that I would recommend 😉 Definitely going to try and read more classics next year ! Emma I think! Aww I read the Night before Christmas every year! Omg you have to read Goodnight Mister Tom it's amazing! and the film! And Violet from Call The Midwife is in it 😉 Well done for getting another one up Mo! Thank you Thank you! You are doing so well this Vlogmas and I so appreciate it! Love to communicate with you on the daily! and I want to reinforce how much I love the new style and your message of less perfectionism! Love the thumbnail, Sally Rooney and Irish fiction are amazing! Not that it really matters but you have the 200 now 😉 That would be such a good video idea asking strangers for book reccomendations! Ohh so excited to watch the new season of Call The Midwife when it comes out! So kinda random but I'd love to see what other creators you watch Sending love talk soon ✨
The ocean at the end of the Lane by Neil Gaiman, while not really a festive book, it feels so magical and I found myself enthralled by the story. I always think it is hard to beat A Christmas Carol. Dickens is after all the man who invented Christmas.
Thank you for your book recommendations ❤I have many children's books with adorable winter illustrations. At Christmastime, you want to read them again and again. And all the books about Harry Potter must be re-read. They have such a magical atmosphere. Just what I need for Christmas 😊✨

I always get super excited being able to see your videos show up on my feed and just get coz with them. 🥰
I love your Christmas decorations! They are beautiful. I adore A Little Princes. It is my favorite book. I've read it over 10 times.
Thank you so much for the book recommendations. I just finished A Christmas Carol and wasn't sure what to read next. I love Vlogmas Morgan. You've made my holiday special. Thank you for sharing.
You look beautiful wearing black! I loved the message in the end❤
Just downloaded The Hygge Holiday to my kindle to start tonight. Always love a good book vlog!
I have also just bought “Wintering”! I can’t wait to read it!
“The boy, the mole, the fox and the horse” is a book to rear over and over again!
I have just finised reading “A wedding in December” and it was so nice and cozy!
The message at the end had been perfect! Thank you! 🤗
The viewers message is exactly what I needed to hear. Exactly what I’m going through. Thank you. ❤️❤️
The Boy, The Mole, The Fox, and The Horse is another all-time favorite. Such a beautiful book!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Ah I just finished Wintering by Katherine May a few days ago! It was very inspiring.😊
Great children’s lit suggestions!! Some of my all-time favorites!!! ❤️📚❤️
Also enjoyed Book Lovers! Such a fun read. 😊👍🏻
I love that story of bumping into a stranger at Powells. How serendipitous and fun! Wintering is on my list to read this season as well. ❄
I absolutely LOVE that you mentioned 84 Charing Cross Road again. 😃❤️ Such an awesome book!!!

I can totally recommend "A boy called Christmas" by Matt Haig. Such a wonderful Christmas read.
Love your white Christmas mug! 🎄
Yesss Greenglass House, a classic! 💚
Thst was so comfortable and cosy. I love your decoration,it is beautiful🎄🕯.
The Boy the mole the fox and the horse is now being made into a film and it's looking incredible from what I've seen!
Cute book store story. When I die I think I'll come back and haunt Powell's and take all the time in the world to read all of the books that I want. And maybe help a customer who is searching for a book they can't find by pushing it off of the shelf. Your reading list is a good one!
Morgan, your Vlogmas videos have brightened my days so much! Thank you for bringing even more Christmas Magic into this holiday season 💛🎄
Oh no, somehow my TBR keeps growing!!! 😂
Happy holidays friends! Hope you find the coziest of books to read this season❤
well
it's fabulous how this channel feels to me like a place where we meet.
Thank you Morgan for you kindly bringing us together and inviting us to have a warm cup of tea, or coffee and listen to good music, share our histories and books
here at your place
My stars!
I started to look up if you had any old holiday book recommendation videos, to see that you have just posted one! At such a time as this!
Merry Christmas Morgan! Thank you for this
Oh Morgan, that was such a magical story! What a lovely way to "discover" new books 😊
I need to pick up some of your recommendations
I just ordered the Wintering book also.
I'm loving vlogmas so much, Mo - it is so whimsical, thoughtful and genuine, and I appreciate all the work you put into it! ✨ Can't wait to hopefully get my hands on one of these books and read it for the holidays!🎄
A place to hang the moon.
You’ll LOVE IT.
Love a cozy book vlog! Thanks Morgan😊😊
So many good recommendations🫶 loved the video !!
It's been so lovely to watch your Vlogmas videos Morgan. My daughter has been unwell, so I've been off work to take care of her. It's been so nice to watch your videos with a cup of tea whilst she naps ❤
Love Powrell’s so much!! 😃
Hello Morgan,
Wintering by Katherine May is a phenomenal read, so absorbing, it will be a book you will return too again & again.
Another book I love to read in the Winter & Christmas is The Christmas Chronicles by Nigel Slater.
So pleased you received your Powell’s Gift Voucher.📚🎄❤️
Aww my eldest grandson loved the night before Christmas, I've just read the serial killers wife by Alice Hunter. Interesting twist at the end.
Such great book recommendations definitely going to get these books 🎅🏻❤️🎄💚💚❤️🎅🏻🎅🏻❤️💚💚❤️🎅🏻❤️🎄💚🎄❤️🎅🏻❤️🎄💚💚💚🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻❤️🎄💚💚🎄🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻❤️🎄🎄❤️🎅🏻
Red Rising has been on my tbr forever, that's the coolest story ever! :D
I desperately needed to hear the message at the end. Thank you ❤️
Love red Rising series and wintering i can’t wait to read sounds magical 💚💚❤️❤️💚🎅🏻🎅🏻💚💚❤️💚❤️🎄🎄❤️❤️🎅🏻🎅🏻💚❤️❤️💚🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻❤️🎄💙🎄❤️🎅🏻🎅🏻💚❤️🎄🎄🎄🎄❤️💚💚🎅🏻💚💚🎄🎄❤️💚🎅🏻🎅🏻💚💚❤️
To me is also really hard to talk to a stranger but this is such an amazing way to do it ❤️
By the way loving all the books recommendations! 😍📚
Loved this, as usual! Such a wonderful cozy video, thank you!
I love reading the book of Luke's account of the birth of Jesus Christ from the Holy Bible. He is at the center of my life and the reason why I celebrate Christmas. ☺️💕
I also really love a beautifully illustrated children's book called "Annika's Secret" about a little girl from Sweden and Christmas celebrations in their culture.
Your my favourite youtuber, alongside your hubby and Roo, you really cheer me up x 🤗
AJ Fikry is one of my top books. I was in love with it!!! Made me want to try to write my own book.
💕
Highly recommend watching the 84 Charing Cross Rd movie as well! A well done adaptation of the book.
Another vlogmas to make the Christmas season more merry ❤
Thank you so much for all the book recommendations! A few of them got onto my tbr now🤍
My first thought was of pure bookish joy when I saw this, your passion is contagious, it felt like talking to a friend about books I loved it! And Violet from Call The Midwife is in it 😉
Well done for getting another one up Mo! Thank you Thank you! You are doing so well this Vlogmas and I so appreciate it! Love to communicate with you on the daily! and I want to reinforce how much I love the new style and your message of less perfectionism!
Love the thumbnail, Sally Rooney and Irish fiction are amazing!
Not that it really matters but you have the 200 now 😉
That would be such a good video idea asking strangers for book reccomendations!
Ohh so excited to watch the new season of Call The Midwife when it comes out!
So kinda random but I'd love to see what other creators you watch
Sending love talk soon ✨
A great boom shopping, Morgan Long!❤
Thank you soooo much for the book recommendation!!!! 💕😊
Yes I love the boy the mole the fox and the horse . It’s beautiful. 🙏🏻
The ocean at the end of the Lane by Neil Gaiman, while not really a festive book, it feels so magical and I found myself enthralled by the story. I always think it is hard to beat A Christmas Carol. Dickens is after all the man who invented Christmas.
I loved the Red Rising series!
Beautiful ending thank you for that and the book recommendations.
Thank you for your book recommendations ❤I have many children's books with adorable winter illustrations. At Christmastime, you want to read them again and again. And all the books about Harry Potter must be re-read. They have such a magical atmosphere. Just what I need for Christmas 😊✨
