What you are doing is NOT a "Football Manager" type of way😂😂Even football manager makes changes to your 1st team if there's a better player for the role or position. So if you want to sim the whole season, you can't be surprised when players don't get the gametime you want them to have because you aren't managing your team😂 It makes complete sense.
It doesn’t make complete sense. Ea should do what I want for my team not whatever they want. If I don’t have enough time to be changing my team every 5 seconds just cause one team plays a certain type of way I should be able to use a preset which I think will work for most of the time and then sim some of the matches.

If a manger isn’t present, the next in Charge takes the reigns and puts the team in the best position to win matches using the manager’s assigned tactics. In Real life and FM’s case, that’s the Assistant manager, in EA, it’s the CPU, which basically plays the same role.

All you had to do was adjust player positions. Change yamal to a LW. The highest rated players will always play. If you really wanted to lay yamal so bad you could’ve even sold raphinha.
@Halracc yamal has the same base position as raphina so he played over him on that side and ferran played on the left because that's his base position. Ea don't care about other positions said player can play unless it's a default position
I am playing it on ea play trial and already have a few problems, almost always a semi transparent black screen comes on the top in the match and i cannot create kickoff names, i don't know if these are just trial glitches or they'll stay after the worldwide release

The reason why Lamine was not starting was because Lamine's role was on Sporadic... you have to give him a new contract and witch his role to Crucial
I believe what you have to do is change raphina to LW so that Yamal is the best RW on the team
First thing you have to do is sell Ter Statue for a better keeper
Suggestion: Negotiate Yamal’s contract and give him a Crucial role. Hope this helps
