Guangzhou is really a great place to live in. Even the older districts are clean and charming. This city has so much vibrancy even though it is not that crowded. I am biased born in Hong Kong and living in Canada, but Cantonese cuisine is the epitome of Chinese dining and Guangzhou is the center of great Cantonese style cooking. Love to see the inside of some beautiful traditional Dim Sum restaurants. In Toronto, some of the Chinese restaurant banquet areas are huge and pretty fancy with the dragon and phoenix symbols.

Should I visit Guangzhou, HK, SZ or Shanghai-Hangzhou? I have only one week so it’s one or the other. Which one is more beautiful and distant from European essence (I’m from Spain).

@@DavidGonzalez-ff6yk I would do both Shanghai and Hangzhou. They are close together and are my two favourite Chinese cities. Shanghai has the big city atmosphere with the most incredible Nanjing shopping street and ultramodern Pudong skyline. Hangzhou’s West lake is a picture perfect Chinese water painting scenery that is a Unesco heritage site. Also the Linyin temple is very nice. Both are clean and ver safe to visit. Hope this helps.
