I love this bike! Why is it so hard to find in the UK?
It seems really odd that more manufacturers don't combine mid drive motors with hub gears (and belt drive) to give the ultimate in reliability

Because we here in the UK live in a car centric hellscape, which means demand is not as high as our European counterparts, which has led to uncompetitive pricing here.
That and the fact that you mostly find cyclists more somewhere in London with flatter paved/ tarmac surfaces, so the necessity of hub gear, let alone a motor, is rather low.
