Thanks for giving PJs the high score. I'm a delivery driver there and like working for them. The cut on there was disappointing, but it happens from time to time. As drivers, we are responsible for working the oven and cutting, and sometimes it's gets fast-paced.
Real ricotta is made from the whey that’s a byproduct from making regular cheeses. I wouldn’t swear that I’ve ever eaten real ricotta despite having eaten a lot of lasagna.
9:08 They only fold it differently than their other stuffed crust cause thats what makes it a "calzone crust" 😅 that being said, my fold was on top and did not seal well, so bottom fold better than top. This was a very good pizza for fast food, about as good as their regular stuffed crust
It's somewhat more understandable if the pizza wasn't cut through, in the case of stuffed crust. If the stuffing is liable to leak out from the cuts during delivery it could be intentional on the part of the shop that they not be too thorough when making the cuts.

Pizza places usually put the pizza directly from the oven into the box, so it can be hard to cut inside the box since the blade will hit the sides before it cuts the crust.
Great review as usual by TROTW but I would highly recommend marinara sauce for dipping this particular crust (I am a huge fan of garlic dipping sauce on most all stuffed crusts, but this crust has such a huge garlic presence already that the marinara 'compliments' it much more)
I think it was a excellent idea to use the crust as a calzone to make a fastfood calzone, no disrespect that just how I learned. I would have liked a maranara dipping sauce just like a real calzone has one.
Live in northern CA. Not a small town (we have two walmart supercenters, lol). But both our papa john's and pizza hut's closed a long time ago. I always assumed they would re-open under new management, but it has been years now.
I work at papa johns and they didn’t make that pizza right. You shouldn’t see that flap you showed us on the bottom of the pizza, they were supposed to roll the crust over on the inside of pizza so the flap would get covered by the cheese on top

Shot at about 6:45 looked as if the crust was stuffed with some sort of custard. Which might have been an improvement.
