I think usopp’s feat got slept on a bit in this chapter. He really demonstrated how good is observation haki is. He was able to see and take out the guards from a massive distance before anyone even noticed there were people there

I believe that Black Maria is referring to Who's Who when talking about Queen's successor, not Drake. This makes more sense because Who's Who seems to be the leader of the Tobi Roppo. Drake is just answering Who's Who's question by saying that he's not interested in replacing Queen

After reading this. Who's who's could be fighting Zoro. As both are swordsman then Luffy would fight the boss Kaido. And fellow Tobi Roppo would each pair off with Star Hat Crew etc. Maybe. 😇
Something most reviewers missed this chapter is that the laughs of the “numbers” are each unique and correspond to their “rank” within the group. Go= 5 Hacha=8 Kyu=9 And in the last chapter the laugh of the number was “jukikiki” which would mean he was ranked 10th.
I dont think it's their rank. I think it's their corrosponding number. So the one laughing jukikiki isn't 10th in power, but 10, the highest number in a deck of cards, and likely the strongest of the numbers.

It only makes sense that the group called the Numbers would be named after the numbered cards in a deck. There are at least 8 of them since the panel that showed Apoo gathering them had 8 silhouettes of the Numbers. There are probably 9 to fit the card theme. It would then make sense that the Numbers are named 2-10 with 10 being the strongest of them since it's the highest numbered card.

I think it struck me as Drake because he generally doesn't seem like the type to volunteer information or opinions. He's the kind of guy who only speaks when spoken to, but the more I look at the page, the more I agree with it referring to Who's Who.

The Tobi Roppō, The Three Calamities, The Numbers hell even the alliance with the Big Mom Pirates. I’m still having trouble that what skin has under he’s command is enough. Also, the designs of the Tobi Roppō are awesome. I especially like Who’s Who design. Overall, another good chapter.
That's true but I don't think his teeth would be like that. You have a good point tho. I think he is either a triceratops, or a type of aquatic animal (he has teeth that is similar to jimbei, his hat kinda looks like a marine hat, and he has what looks like waves on his clothes). If he is not an aquatic animal, I think he is a fish men then.

I remember reading the first few simple covered volumes (literally just Luffy and Zoro) and then seeing all the covers from Whole Cake era in book stores and thinking "holy shit thats so many characters on one cover!" But as I read it I hardly noticed the changes because they're so gradual over the 22 years and now, looking back, I can't believe that I was ever overwhelmed by them!
HoodedHiyasu- (Speaking on the Manga) Oda’s Style is this: he introduces a new concept, then he’ll have vague showings of it, followed by an explanatory breakdown, & finally end with showing off the concept in full glory. After which he’ll casually have that concept become apart of the series. Anime watchers are use to the anime emphasizing on certain things through sounds and colors. But manga readers understand the series through following it. You’d likely have to start far back in the manga to keep up with what’s going on visually. Our eyes have been trained to distinguish what’s going on. Yours haven’t. I stopped watching the anime years ago, I only check it out now for parts I wanna see animated.

1:40 this is one of my favorite panels in wano. Drake looks so not in control of his own crew that it looks like a straw hat situation going on. Together with the bath scene, he’s being turned into one goofy-goober throughout this arc.
Looking back at this video I just noticed that drake didn’t have the horns like the rest, maybe it’s because he never really was part of them? It’s little things like this that oda does to foreshadow future events. Oda is the GOAT.

I'm trying to figure out why denjiro didn't use his status as kyoshiro to poison or severely weaken kaido's forces. Like he could've single handedly destroy the formation of the beast pirates from the inside being a complete agent of chaos, but oda just chose for him to just be a right hand man for kinemon.

@@trevorroberson8052 I get why you might think that but I have written scripts for him before and seen how he works more or less....you might not realize it but he delivers a lot of information in short videos he talks pretty fast but with a certain kind of energy that makes it understandable and digestible. It really is a tricky thing to pull off. He's cut and dry and straight to the point absolutely but he has a certain kind of energy or charisma that keeps your attention.

Black Maria being a giant makes some sense as it might even be the reason Big Mom agreed to join forces so that maybe one of her sons would marry her and she'd have a giant in her crew finally.
You know, after seeing this chapter I was really excited by Black Maria because I am hoping to see a canonical giant with a devil fruit, especially with a zoan type and out of all arcs (excluding if we ever explore Elbaf) this was the perfect place to see what a devil fruit like that and how it affects an actual giant.
Maybe it's just me, but I think I remember in some interview saying that there would be a big naval battle. I guess that won't happen, what with them sinking their ships.
Ussop really doesn't give himself enough credit. Watched Stampede recently and he said that he doesn't deserve to be in Luffys crew after once again getting his face smashed in by the enemy. Later in the film he gave his captain the opening needed to beat Bullets construct. Ussop may not be the best when it comes to a fight but I'm terms of being a Support, he is god level. And like he said "snipers are there for support"

I only follow the Manga (also included Cover Stories of course) from Dressrosa. And now I just realized that Cover Stories is all about the essence of adventures in relating to the initial - beginning of One Piece. Futhermore now Oda can't fit in the 'adventure stories' anyway as such 'serious plotlines' are already underway and Many Fans will anticipate serious plotlines as such, in contrast to just an adventure stories.

I believe Black Maria is based on a Japanese Ogre a.k.a an Oni. For one, her horns look natural instead of cosmetic. Second, her size is bigger than average human, which oni's usually are, but smaller than a giant.

So confused why everyone that read the official thinks who's who was referring replacing a Calamity. He specifically said next lead performer. He's just talking about the Festival 🤦🏾♂️ c'mon y'all. All the reviewers missed that even after reading the official The scans itself have some bad mistranslation in them so I understand if people didn't read the official and are still confused but the official clarified alot. 1. Black Maria was speaking to Who's who after he asked about queen being "replaced" 2. They aren't talking about queen being replaced as a Calamity but rather as the emcee of the whole party. Remember they have the party every year. The wording they use don't seem like they speaking about the calamity subject. He said " I'm just spitballing here... But if Queen were to die say tonight who would be the next lead performer you think?" Also take a look at their feet in the last chapter and who the feet belong to in this one. By process of elimination Black Maria's feet were the ones farthest in the back... But that doesn't make sense if she is so huge. Devil fruit explanation maybe?

Again, there's nothing that even remotely suggests that he is using observation haki. Just regular old observation, with binoculars.
You see him looking away from them though in a different direction. He very clearly senses their presence

@@trevorroberson8052 I get why you might think that but I have written scripts for him before and seen how he works more or less....you might not realize it but he delivers a lot of information in short videos he talks pretty fast but with a certain kind of energy that makes it understandable and digestible. It really is a tricky thing to pull off. He's cut and dry and straight to the point absolutely but he has a certain kind of energy or charisma that keeps your attention.
Droid I absolutely agree and if you’re one o the producers/writers of the show at some point then I want I want to commend you for your effort and want you to know that it is appreciated. I try not to compare content creators but I do watch Tekking and etc and I see how vastly reviews can differ from different creators but still going over the same plot. I would love to know more about the planning and thought that goes into each video.

Ussop really doesn't give himself enough credit. Watched Stampede recently and he said that he doesn't deserve to be in Luffys crew after once again getting his face smashed in by the enemy. Later in the film he gave his captain the opening needed to beat Bullets construct. Ussop may not be the best when it comes to a fight but I'm terms of being a Support, he is god level. And like he said "snipers are there for support"

I believe Black Maria is based on a Japanese Ogre a.k.a an Oni. For one, her horns look natural instead of cosmetic. Second, her size is bigger than average human, which oni's usually are, but smaller than a giant.

The scans itself have some bad mistranslation in them so I understand if people didn't read the official and are still confused but the official clarified alot.
1. Black Maria was speaking to Who's who after he asked about queen being "replaced"
2. They aren't talking about queen being replaced as a Calamity but rather as the emcee of the whole party. Remember they have the party every year. The wording they use don't seem like they speaking about the calamity subject. He said " I'm just spitballing here... But if Queen were to die say tonight who would be the next lead performer you think?"
Also take a look at their feet in the last chapter and who the feet belong to in this one. By process of elimination Black Maria's feet were the ones farthest in the back... But that doesn't make sense if she is so huge. Devil fruit explanation maybe?
The Three Calamaties are also called the lead performers of the crew. So they definitely were talking about straight up replacing Queen if he died.
