    It is not any child's right to be demanded by family to support them, especially after sending to college. Especially siblings that are too lazy to work. If parents are on pension it is a gift if children help parents. They will be blessed abundantly. But again parents should not expect children to give their whole salary to them and their siblings.

      Emily was not a doormat. In the story she had been emotionally abused as a child. She did not know her treatment abuse was not normal. She had three people constantly telling her she owed them and she was selfish if she didn’t provide for them. Emily had been treated like a slave financially, endless work,and emotionally. Emily needed outside help to understand her situation and for emotional support to get off those toxic relationships. When you are being abused you are taught your feeling are wrong.
