HomeKit Quick Tip - HomePod mini Handoff, possibly the COOLEST HomePod mini feature!

- In this weeks HomeKit Quick Tip, I show you how audio handoff works from your iPhone to HomePod mini.
Simply have some audio playing on your iPhone, this could be from Apple Music, Spotify, TH-cam, a Podcast or even audio from a webpage in Safari, and then bring your iPhone nearby to your HomePod, and just like magic, the audio with transfer to the HomePod!
You can then do the reverse to take the sound from your HomePod and back to your phone!

Make sure you have 'Settings | General | Airplay & Handoff | Transfer to HomePod' switched on for this to work!
Only problem I've found is don't keep the homepod mini on your desk, or anywhere else within like 3 feet. Otherwise EVERY time you pick up your phone, it tries to transfer, whether you're playing media or not! The screen blurs, and a notification drops down asking if you want to connect.
i tried everything to get this to work, turning bluetooth on and off, turning wifi off and on, wifi frequency, transfer to homepod and handoff settings off and on, resetting the HomePod and phone fully and everything in between with using a 512GB iPhone XS and the apple HomePod Mini (space grey). i also have the newest version of iOS 14.3 on both devices
How to set up handoffs?
Make sure you have wifi and bluetooth turned on, and also check you have 'Settings | General | Airplay & Handoff | Transfer to HomePod' switched on.

@@ashokarun8013 have you got wifi and bluetooth turned on? At first it didn't work for me because I had wifi off. What iOS version are you on?
Its not working for me as well. Version 14.2 and using an XR.
It hasn’t worked for me on my 12 Pro on iOS 14.2.1 and I always have WiFi and Bluetooth on but I don’t know what it can be.

It doesn't work with my iPhone 12 Pro Max, I've turned on BT and Wifi and also transfer option in the settings :(

Are you added in the Home app and have access to control accessories? It only works if you are he manager of the home or the manager has granted you access
