Tip: Slippy has a 30x damage multiplier to Kinetic weapons for no reason what so ever. So if you want to murder everything and don't want to waste time clearing out end game stuff that has way too much hp.

well in my opinion this is not a "surprisingly complex game with multiple systems", i instantly picked the hardest difficulty the game has to offer, i bought the digital and nothing else therefore i have no advantage by having everything and i also play has either judge or chase, i even most of the time try to limit myself with some stuff and move away from the main story to not finish it too fast, i didnt really encounter anything difficult yet unless its enemies/extractors that are far higher level than me that actually can stop me from butter-slicing through them (for example im lvl 14 vs lvl 22), but i am quite satisfied with the difficulty of the game because you can get melted pretty fast as well, this is a really awesome game, everything in it is awesome.
the arwing that comes with switch is pretty good, but you can save yourself a headache by getting the mid range elemental weapons (other than stasis, that only has one range) other systems i suggest looking at ship abilities to pick one that you like chase is a good captain to reduce traveling time
I got the crusher and shredder for extras, and it seems pretty good. The ones the pack comes with are good because you can freeze something and then put fire on it, and it makes a thermal effect.
the nadir and neptune ship packs come with the only stasis weapon currently available, one of the gravity weapons, and the only outlaw pilot that isn't a pre-order bonus (which means she's the only way to get the upgrades for the equinox associated with the outlaw faction). and the eli arborwood and kharl zeon pilot packs provide the only prospector and expedition pilots (which are good for the same reason an outlaw pilot is good). so I'd say those are must haves if you're going for 100% completion on a budget(although every ship you own is basically an extra life you can slot in instead of having to respawn every time you go down) all that said, the deluxe digital edition is about the same price as the physical starter edition and basically comes with everything, so if you don't want the toys that's the real way to go for 100% on a budget.
Once you uncover an entire planet, is there any reason to keep any observatories? Also, is there any reason to have more than one mod shop on any one planet? I ask because I'm considering getting rid of all but one mod shop per planet and no observatories and focus on refineries and defense outpost. Just curious if there are consequences to focusing on just two types of facilities per completed planets.
Well, I did find one more use for observatories. If you want to complete your species list, observatories will give you a mission to extract, usually an animal egg or something along those lines, from a designated area. Once you find/pull said object, it'll be added to your species list. On a similar note, if you shoot certain animals, they'll drop a claw, tooth, etc which will then register onto your species list once picked up. There's usually one animal per planet that'll drop said claw, tooth, etc.
I've figured how this out on my own mostly and have nearly full completed Haven and Krite. But, I cannot find all the samples. I can only find three on each planet. Do you get them from fauna? Or are they in areas where that specific item is only found?

I have a problem. On won of the asked choirs I had to do.I was told get this purple mineral,but it needed a status element.It directed me to ESHOP to buy. But it was not available to purchase. There are times when I'm asked to pickup a scaner and scan something but there's no indication of where it is on planet.

Since the sale for the rest of the weapon, ship, & pilot bundles were like $15 a piece, it was enough to get back in there as Fox & rip Legion a new one I will say this though: they missed a good opportunity for the Xbox One & PlayStation 4 exclusive characters. XB1 could’ve had Master Chief & PS4 could’ve had Ratchet & Clank

You can get the standard digital version for $60 USD and the digital deluxe version for $80. That way you don't need to worry about getting extra toys if that's too expensive. Most if not all of the ships and pilots and weapons will be unlocked in the digital deluxe edition.
RadJacob Just a correction, you get all the pilots currently available (10/10, 9/9 for non-Switch), 6 of the game’s 8 ships (7 for non-Switch copies. May only get 5 in that case), and 15 of the game’s current 16 weapons. No idea if you just buy the remaining ships and weapon or if maybe you can unlock them or something.

wassup bro I just did the digital deluxe bundle for the switch. It gave me all the ships and pilots including the weapons. I like the idea of the toys but at 32 years old my wife would probably not understand 😞. I know my kids would of loved them. I had no idea this game was this in depth, I’m actually pretty impressed.

To bad circles are so small to be able to use it in combat when doing something like scan missions on vrecks. But flying works well when fighting solo mobs.

I luckily just got this game for free - I went looking for a guide to help me. I have had a blast just messing around with the very beginning part and exploring the first planet. Not going to lie - this video made my head spin. I had no idea it would get much more complicated than I've already seen, but I tell you it's a fantastic experience so far and new things are slowly introduced. Skimming across the beginning planet like a pod racer and trying out different ships and weapon setups against the low level enemies has been pure entertainment. If you are remotely interested and can find the digital deluxe edition cheap enough I can almost guarantee you will thank yourself for getting it. It's really great.👍

There aren't any tips or tricks in this video :/ all I see are facts. I'm more so looking at how to be more efficient in combat and how to make my life easier than knowing the basics you come across as you play the game naturally. Still, I suppose some of these things could slip by, but really all you did was explain the game. It's almost like a review.

They detect the enemy i guess so your armory units go to them.

Narh there are two ships you only get froms toys, one of them are the Cerberus.
They are mostly just recoloured ships with different wings :)

It autosaves almost constantly, but you can force a save by exiting to the title screen.

Because dreadnoughts drop legendary mods. Also new dreadnoughts come by after a while so you won't run out of them
