Bivol had 11 out of 13 fights by KO. He stated in interviews that he now prefers to outbox his opponents, and it’s not that he can’t, it’s that he chooses to box them instead because he finds it easy
@@Ultimagtr650 cap as he started to fight more elite comp he found out his power is not elite plain and simple no fighter would choose to fight 12rnds over a finish unless they wanted to shake off layoff rust
Based on Ring IQ, discipline, and the ability to capitalize when it matters most, Bivol will show the world how an elite boxer takes apart another elite boxer.
One thing that Bivol has, that is very important to have against Beterbiev, is discipline in the ring.Bivol is not the type of guy to get caught with something as a result of being reckless.
Discipline also means the lack of improvisation or creativity - always doing the same thing over and over again - in-and-our, one-two - soooo predictable!
It was bivol that brought me back to boxing because of his skills as a boxer. The boxing skills really kick in when the championship rounds come. Power punchers always fade.
Great video! This is going to be one great fight! I like Beterbiev, but Bivol is such an outstanding athlete.. Man, we have some really good boxing coming up in the next few months.
Everyone underestimates Bivol's power. I suspect he has considerably more than he has needed to easily win half his fights. Remember when Foreman, the invincible monster, fought a seemingly washed-up Ali?
Most of the Bivol fans (rather who thinks Bivol win) underestimates Beterbiev's boxing skill. His footwork is very efficient, very good lateral movement and he practice and practice on the plan to beat his opponent. Once Bivol get hits on body, he will realize what he is facing. There is no way (absolutely no way) Bivol can stop Beterbiev hitting him to the body.
Beterbiev is leagues above foreman in terms of boxing ability. Of course foreman is an all time great and one of the hardest punchers the sport has ever seen, but beterbiev is also one of the hardest punchers boxing has ever seen in addition to having supreme underrated boxing skill. The guy had nearly 40kos as an amateur in 3 round fights. He beat kovalev twice in the amateurs and kovalev ducked him as a pro. We don't even need to mention his pro career. The guy legitimately has a win over usyk in the amateurs and while usyk beat him the last two times, many say Artur was robbed the last time they fought in 2012 and usyk was visibly hurt badly every time they met and we all know beterbiev floored him with a body shot.
@@spoj3922 You miss the point about Foreman... The power was the reason people gave Ali no chance, but he was much faster, more mobile and had a better ring IQ. Beterbiev has reportedly had trouble in this camp with fast handed sparring partners (understandable at 39), and Bivol has by far the better handspeed and possibly the best footwork in all of boxing. The ring will also play it`s part, being either 22 or 24 ft compared to the 18ft AB fought Smith in last time out. Cutting off the ring when you have a large ring and slower feet will mean he has to work far harder than normal, and remember, he has never gone 12 full rounds. Guys seem to stand in front of him, which allows him to conserve energy, and rest when he wants. That is a luxury he won`t get with Bivol. Bivol is statistically the hardest boxer to hit, and given AB is a mid to inside pressure fighter, i just think Bivol is all wrong for him. He also didn`t look great on the rare occassion Yarde backed him up, because he is not used to boxing on the back foot, which is what I feel certain Bivol will try to do. We will see, but I dont think it will be as competative as many think.
I’m taking Beterbiev, the power difference is a huge factor for me…while Bivol jab can definitely keep Artur honest early, I think when Artur gets his jab going the difference will be shown…especially if Bivol, hangs against the ropes like he did against Canelo and Zurdo, then Beterbiev combinations will be too much for Bivol…Bivol can win but it’s too hard of an ask for him to control Beterbiev for all 12…
For those paying attention, Beterbiev was beating gvozdyk pillar to post from the beginning of the fight. Gvozdyk was just moving a lot but the method for him getting dropped a few times then getting stopped started from the beginning
Beterbiev was always A side and neither PBC nor Bob Arum wanted Bivol fight. Bivol always looked for belts but noone wanted him bc he was high risk, low reward
You earned a follow. Great breakdown, I’ve been telling people that this fight hinges on Bivol’s durability. He can’t dance for 12 rds, Canelo was able to pin him to the ropes. Personally I think Artur breaks him down and stops him late. If Bivol surprises with his durability he might squeeze out a narrow decision or a draw.
The gvodzik win is a HUGE win for beterbiev, people really don't get how technically good gvodzik was, he is technically a better more well rounded fighter than bivol i believe. This is a good fight, im gonna go against the grain weird random things happen in life and i have a feeling bivol wins by stoppage.
Bivol is not even on Beterbiev’s level. Bivol hasn’t stopped a bum in years. And Beterbiev eats bombs from the biggest punchers and doesn’t even budge. Gvozdyk was far better than Bivol. Bivol never beat a live champion
I still can't believe we're getting this fight. I just watched the Guy Ritchie style promo for the undercard, which was incredible too. Beterbiev for me; his intensity and punching tend to distract from his technical ability but I don't think he's significantly less skilled than Bivol.
I came here to to the channel to apologize to you, brother you called out the Spence versus Crawford fight and I couldn’t see it because of my ignorance and being weight drained as well. You were right.
I reckon it plays out similar to Haney V Garcia. Bivol might be up in rounds but Beterbiev lands eventually and drops him & bivol never recovers. Beterbiev late or Decision
Good luck chasing Bivol round for 12 rounds in a 22-24 ft ring when you`re 39, and you think he will come on strong in the later stages? (Smith was in a 18ft ring).. Thats made a huge difference, like it or not.
Gvozdik is a very serious opponent, and everyone said he would win. Browne is a very powerful boxer, he head butted Beterbiev very seriously and he lost a lot of blood, but still, what the end was, we know. Anthony Yarde watched the fight between Beterbiev and Browne and still thought he would win, they had a few surprises in store for him for superiority. 1. On his own field, his own judges and fans. 2. A strong liver defense, and how was he allowed to do that? (One of the main techniques of Arthur's victories is liver work.). 3. Old man vs. young man. 4. Did you see the kind of athlete Anthony Yarde is against Arthur? And have we all seen what an ending? And so many people want the old man to finally give up and be sensationalized. A lot of people don't like him because of his nationality. I will say my firm opinion - there will be 21 knockouts and no talk. If Beterbiev wins by judges' decision - it would be a sensation! He will win only by knockout - a clear advantage. Always loyal to Arthur Haron. If he were to lose by accident (boxing is as possible as anywhere else), in which case I won't watch boxing anymore.
Beterbiev’s trainer, Ice Man Scully said (paraphrase) that the gameplan for every fight revolves around taking the oxygen out of the room and that 12 rounds is a long long time to stand in a ring with Artur. My pick would be 50/50 though not one coin has ever landed on 50/50.
Bivol. Not talking and boxers frustrate punchers; after 6-8, BTB will go mental if he's not KO'd him, becomes erratic and lose even wider on the scorecards.
Great fight. Super excited about this one. Truly a 50/50 fight. I remember watching the Gvosdyk vs Beterbiev fight. I had Gvosdyk winning until the ko came. Benavidez may have problems with Gvosdyk. People are says it's a cherry pick, but true boxing fans know it's not. My heart tells me Bivol cause I am more of a fan but my head tells me Beterbiev. I just can't see Bivol taking the power of Beterbiev, I maybe wrong but we will see. I think Beterbiev wins this one. Good luck to both champs and may the best man win. Great year for boxing fans so far.
Bivol all day long..in and out style is perfect vs beterbiev, bivol footwork is unreal, his cardio is phenomenal and unlike all previous beterbiev opponents,he ain't scared at all, bivol is a master under pressure,he's always relaxed, the most relaxed fighter pfp with bud crawford..
😂 My dude, joe smith jr was able to hurt Bivol. It happened Right at the end of one of the round and only the belt allowed Bivol to recover. Beterbiev hits 100x harder than Smith Jr. On top of everything, Beterbiev's boxing acumen and footwork are criminally underrated. Bivol ain't lasting a full fight against Beterbiev.
@@neorock6135 joe smith barely hurt him with an overhand right right at the bell, of the 11th round bivol lost his concentration and recovered instantly then proceeded to humiliate smith next round... Come back here after the fight...
Joe Smith Jr rocked Bivol at one point in their fight with only the end of the rd saving him. Now imagine what Beterbiev who hits harder by orders of magnitude will do...
Excellent breakdown, but I think you’re giving AB too much credit on his footwork. I think he is going to get thoroughly outbox maybe even hurt a couple times
You need to take into account, the fact that where Beterbiev fights in Montréal , this venue can only accommodate an 18 foot ring. If you look at some of his fights, you can see this is his preferred venue and that plays into his hands. The ring in Saudi Arabia will be either 22 or 24 feet and therefore a far harder proposition for him in terms of trying to cut the ring off . Add to that, he has never done 12 rounds and he will be 39 and you start to see the longer the fight goes on the more. It favours. Bivol. I even think this isn’t the major consideration it’s the difference in speed. Speed Kills. They say that for a good reason.
He DID! go 12 round’s he stopped Enrico Kolling very late into that fight in the 12th. Has been 10 round’s twice, and 9 once. In all those fights he never lost his stamina.
@@eddiemorales2457he didn’t get outboxed, he just had the wrong style for amateur boxing. Amateur boxing and the Olympics favors busy fighters that move a lot and throw a lot of punches, like Usyk. It doesn’t favor big punchers that rely on damage like Beterbiev. He always had a pro style.
Very good analysis. 😁 The one thing I’ll point out is Artur is very accurate and doesn’t miss that often BUT the same can be said for Bivol. They both miss, you can’t be accurate all the time. I’d say they are equal in that department.
It's funny on the Gvoz fight because he said, he felt like he was dying by the end of the fight. Agreed and mentally checked out the fight. Like the commentary on Bivol's movement. People act like he angles like Lomachecko/Usyk or is fleet of foot like a young Lara when in fact he has a very wide stance and takes one step back or forward, but he tends to get stuck on the ropes and Beterbiev only needs a few seconds to cause damage with the body shots and those hooks he loops around the guard and hits you on the ear (most say he is rabbit punching) or Bivol tends to throw the jab soft as a range finder which you have to think Beterbiev is going to start to time that with his power jab. Great fight, hard call. I think Bivol will be out 4-6 rounds and we will see how his body responds when the damage starts to build up.
Thing is beterbiev battered gvozdyk in the midlle of the ring. bivol has more tendencies to get stuck cuz he moves back and forth while gvozdyk takes angles. Biev has a way of punching in between his opponents shots. He will catch bivol on the body and wear him out i promise you.
You gotta watch Bivol more, he is never in the ropes unless he wants to, never seen him trapped lol. He has said multiple times he was intentionally covering himself up on the ropes vs Canelo so that he can absorb his shots, let him wear down and counter him like he did. Also he uses angles in a lot of fights..Using angles doesnt mean you got better footwork and its very risky too
@@meaz7216 beterbiev eats bivols style for breakfast in the amateurs. Watch beterbiev vs rasulov in the amateurs thats how the fight will go. Bivol will try to move his feet but will get caught in between punches. Bivol is not slick he is very disciplined he doesnt dodge or block punches but instead moves back and forth. Beterbiev knows how to nullify that soviet pendulum style easily.
@@litosoltow7729 Bivol doesnt block or dodge punches? What are you even talking about lmao. Wasnt Rasulov a southpaw? Also Bivol doesnt have the classic pendulum, his take on it with the micro steps is very unique
@@meaz7216 dude ofcourse he blocks and dodges but if you really study his style he isnt defesive at all lile people make him out to be. Bivol is very basic. 1 - 2 step out and combo step out. Ive been watchinf bivol beterbiev and gvozdyk since ward was dominating the division, and it has never changed. People has been putting beterbiev as the weak link of the three and then bivol then gvozdyk. Beterbiev closed the gap and was hurting Usyk in a 3 round fight with headgear on ( a bigger guy who is more skilled than bivol and moves better as well). 12 rounds is too long to be in there with biev. Watch the amaeur fight i told you about, it will look like that or maybe something loke dadashev vs matias hahahah
Neither one of these 2 fighters would have been able to handle Lou Duvalle, Ernest Matteen, or David Telesco . True New York light Heavyweight World Champions.
Beterbiev is an amazing boxer all around, his perfect punching technique, his Crawford like counters, yeah he's the real deal always has been, a beutiful technical fighter.
Richardson, in my opinion, was bivols toughest fight. Canelo was easy work and you are talking about one of the Smartest fighter to ever box and bivol made him look average.
Beterbiev vs Gvozdyk was one of the most violent fights Ive seen in recent years. That fight took alot out of both men. Gvozdyk is basically a shell of himself now. Beterbiev have slowed down alot. As far as bivol vs beterbiev I got beterbiev by late stoppage. Bivol don't have enuff fire power or movement to keep the old man off and the old man set trap by playing possum. And what beterbiev do best is Bivol weakness. Beterbiev body shoots and punching around the high guard will take him to the win
@Ultimagtr650 yep not enuff bivol move just enuff to be able to counter which means he will be in range to get counter. Again beterbiev bivol need to throw one or two shots and gets all the way out of range and make beterbiev reset...that half step to the sides, short pull backs and staying in the high guard will get him knocked out against beterbiev
One of those knockdowns (Jeff Page) wasn’t really a legit knockdown, his feet got tangled up it was more of a balance thing. His only legit knockdown imo was against Callum Johnson, who’s a vicious puncher and caught him with a clean left hook, Callum is MUCH heavier handed than Bivol.
Some of the greatest fighters to ever box have been dropped and fighters lesser than them have never been dropped, plus Bivol is pillow fisted and Beterbiev has recently been eating bombs from some of the biggest punchers and he doesn’t even budge
You brought up a lot of great points. A few things, Bivol has shown heart but no killer instinct. Beterbiev has shown both. The Gvosdyk fight and Browne fight really show how much tenacity arthur has. In fights that bivol is even dominating, he shows no instinct to stop people. example london arthur and canelo. lastly, gvosdyk hits very hard. robert garcia said hes the hardest puncher he has ever trained.
He said he prefers to outbox them because he can do it quite easily. His first fight he stopped 11 out of 13 then he hasn’t had one since. Do you think that’s just coincidental or deliberate? He can certainly turn it on when he needs to, and I suspect you will find that is the case on June 1
@@Ultimagtr650Bivol was knocking out bums, as soon as he became champ and started fighting better competition he coincidentally stopped knocking people out lol. Meanwhile Beterbiev keeps on KOing high level fighters and champions.
Almost every boxer has a high ko percentage for their first dozen fights. And if a boxer says something like that they prefer not to ko someone on purpose then either they are lying or it’s a big red flag and a big mark against them. Bivol by points is likely.
@@RealSharpensReal Maybe so, BUT we know he could have stopped some of the higher grade fighters like Canelo, but chose not to .. Which goes to what I said about him choosing not to, rather than being unable to do so.
Yet Benevidez said the opposite...He said Bivol can hit harder..so idk. As the sparring partner, I have to go with Benevidez, as he was trading with them both. He certainly hits hard enough when he wants.
This is a great fight!! I've got Beterbiev by KO, because of the combination of Boxing IQ and power. I think Craig Richards is an excellent and underrated fighter. The Buatsi fight was razor close and Richards hurt Buatsi and can take a shot. At the time Beterbiev beat Gvozdyk. Gvozdyk was the lineal champion. Bivol needs to do something he's never done before, stike with KO power to wins this fight. Beterb iev has sneaky power, little or no windup or pullback.. had to read and very painful. i also think that Beterbiev has power in reserve.. which is hard to cope with. I expect Bivol to be dropped for the first time as a pro before getting stopped/KO'd. if Bivol can improve his accuracy of his combo's and flurry's then this could be competative.
Hi Wave. Whilst Bivol was clearly in control - I gave Canelo 5 rounds. Bivol was stunned by Joe Smith but fortunately (for him) at the end of a round. Beterbiev has been down, but not really hurt. Usyk beat Beterbiev and Bivol is well skilled. Damn, it's complicated...
Beterbiev’s gloves touched the canvas. He didn’t even hit the floor while Bivol got hurt by smith jr and was seeing stars and had to rely on the ropes and was far more hurt than Beterbiev. And Beterbiev destroyed smith in 2 rounds
What you said is nonsense... Bivol has the highest workrate in the division according to Compubox. He is also the least hit, with the most connects (To qualify this...I`m talking about jabs & It is used to disrupt the opponents rhythm ,as much as anything)
@@Ultimagtr650 What amazes me most is your confidence in distorting facts. Bivol's percentage of landed punches in his Canelo fight is 21%. Beterbiev's percentage of landed punches in his Smith fight is 39% according to Compubox - almost twice more. So why are you lying? The number of thrown punches: Bivol - 59 per round; Beterbiev - 72 per round. Not even close - Beterbiev has decisive advantage here. So who says the nonesense?
no place to run, no place to hide for Bivol. He never got hit like he's going to get hit. I think Beterbiev will knock Bivol out and it might be sooner then later. Although I think Beterbiev might get rocked or even knocked down he will hit Bivol from angles and with punches he never saw before even though they know each other well from the amateurs.
Man the Ramirez fight such a good performance from Bivol man Ramirez weight bully Ramirez had 30 pounds on Bivol and got absolutely whooped even hurt by Bivol
Yeah, the size difference looked cartoonish. Ramírez weighed over 200 lbs on fight night. Yet Bivol was still able to manhandle him when needed. The dude is physically deceptively strong for his size.
That’s confusing because I’ve seen people talking in English, where he said he has never met beterbiev even though they were on the same team. He certainly has never sparred with him
yup beterbiev one and lost twice. all their fights were very close where usyk almost got stopped a few times. Mind you this is usyk bigger stronger and more skilled than bivol, barely surviving with headgear and big gloves.
Beterbiev is not losing to Bivol lol im 99% convinced. Ive never even heard people talk about sparring they way way they have against Beterbiev, ni88a beating up everybody even in practice & people need in understand the Chechen mentality, not Russian. Beterbiev by KO 8th rd.......bet
@@mmfood3004 People in the West who have never met a Chechen or Dagestani have this almost mythological view of their mentality. Bivol is very over rated, if this was a Beterbiev 5 years ago it would be much better, but almost every fighter Bivol faces lands on him, he gets way too much praise with the rose colored glasses fan base. He struggles with lots of fighters, Pascal was landing right hands on him very nicely as well.
Beterbiev is a 65% favorite against Bivol's 35%. HERE ARE THE REASONS: 1. Familiarity with style: Beterbiev came through the Soviet system, and Bivol has that style. Chances are that Beterbiev fought people with that style for breakfast, lunch, and dinner back in the day. Bivol is brilliant and unique, and a one-of-a-kind technician, but still, it's an advantage for Beterbiev due to familiarity. 2. Amateur record: Beterbiev is an amateur legend. 395-5 is an absolutely mental record. European Championships, World Championships, World Cup. Just too good. He beat Usyk and knocked him down too. Sure, pros are different from amateurs. But if anything, the pros favor Beterbiev's style. Also, Beterbiev was consistently forced to fight in higher weight classes because of boxing politics, often fighting people 6-7 kgs heavier than him and still beating them. 3. Reputation: Everyone who has sparred with Beterbiev praises him to no end. There are whispers about his sparring sessions and of partners quitting because it's too difficult, etc. All of this will have some psychological impact on Bivol and his team. Also, Bivol knows him from way back. During their rare interactions, you can see Beterbiev has a big brother vibe around Bivol. 4. Style: Bivol simply cannot avoid him for 12 rounds. Beterbiev is too intelligent. He resets during rounds and sets traps. He also knows when to take risks. He'll see the opponent in a weak position and go in for some combo at the cost of getting hit. But the punches he gets hit by are weak. Also, it's important to note that Beterbiev has a very efficient style. He doesn't waste movements or punches. This will serve him well from a cardio perspective. 5. Inside fighting: Probably an extension of the previous point. Beterbiev will close the range by round 4/5. At this point, he will force Bivol to go into a shell and absolutely bully Bivol. Bivol will hate this and start avoiding the inside by constantly moving. This will reduce Bivol's output considerably, and Beterbiev will keep getting better. 6. Pressure and intelligence (IQ): Also an extension of point 4 but worthy of an independent call-out. Beterbiev basically smothers you with pressure. You can't think or strategize when you are in the ring with him. He will keep coming forward and make you feel claustrophobic. This tends to put the opponent in survival mode. It happened with Gvozdyk after round 6. The same thing happened with Browne. 7. Bivol's lack of power: Bivol's last knockout was Sullivan Barrera, which was in 2018 or something. Basically, Beterbiev will stop respecting Bivol's power after a few rounds. Beterbiev isn't going to pounce on Bivol. He is too intelligent for that. He knows if he does that, Bivol will counter all night. Instead, he will patiently take risks which he wouldn't if he was facing a strong puncher. 8. Team: Beterbiev's team is very good analytically. Marc Ramsay is a special coach. No fuss, no bullshit. He sticks to the basics and prepares his fighters really well. Andre, his strength and conditioning coach, is also excellent. Very precise and prepares him well. I feel Beterbiev has a more competent team around him, and it looks like he feels very much at home with them and trusts them a lot. 9. Body work: Watch the Gvozdyk fight for reference. Basically, body work is what allowed Beterbiev to execute his game plan against an elite opponent. The same will happen with Bivol. Bivol is there to be hit. Especially to the body. Beterbiev will exploit that. You know the drill. If Bivol starts covering his body, Beterbiev will go to the head and knock him out. So Bivol will not risk it and keep his guard up, which will lead to him taking a lot of hits to the body, and he will break down over time. 10. Power and Timing: I've kept this for the last. No explanation needed. The only point I'll add is that Beterbiev's timing is extremely underrated. And we all know that timing beats speed. HERE'S HOW THE FIGHT WILL PLAY OUT Rounds 1-3: These will be Bivol rounds. Bivol will come out sharp and snappy. An excellent boxer that he is, he will use his full skillset to win these rounds. He knows he will need these first few rounds to build a scorecard advantage. Beterbiev will download the data and look to understand distance. He will struggle initially because Bivol is excellent, but eventually, he will start closing in. Rounds 4-6: This is where you'll start seeing signs. Cuts and bruises on both faces but some swollen points for Bivol. You'll also see Bivol slowing down a bit because of the hits to the body. Rounds 7-9: This is where Beterbiev will start breaking down Bivol more visibly. Bivol will still have his moments and may even win rounds. But Beterbiev would have fully closed the distance by this point and will execute his game plan. These will be extremely punishing rounds for Bivol. He will be taken to the deep waters. His stamina, character, and will will be tested. This is where we are likely to see the first knockdown. Rounds 10-12: These will be Beterbiev rounds. Unless he ages overnight and gasses out, it will be all Beterbiev. Bivol will be in survival mode after all that punishment and will be desperate to make it over the line to take it to decision. Beterbiev will start mauling him. Most likely, the fight will be stopped after a couple of knockdowns. WHY DOES BIVOL STILL HAVE A 35% CHANCE? - He is too damn good to have less than a 35% chance. He is excellent. - This is boxing. Anything can happen. - Beterbiev may age overnight, affecting his speed and endurance. - Bivol might somehow survive the onslaught and go on to win on the scorecards.
Got to say I disagree on most of what you said as a lot of it was simply ancient history or pertains to fighters with styles totally different to Bivol.. Factors which matter most which you neglected are: Ring 22 - 24 ft NOT the 18 ft he usually fights in (always when in Montreal), or when he can stipulate. Chasing a fighter with the best footwork in all of boxing around a big ring when you are 39, will take its toll, so those thinking AB will come on in the later rounds, after trying to catch Bivol ( like J Smith Jr did) , should consider he will have to exert himself far more than he ever has before, and I simply don`t think he will be able to do it, because he has never had to before, and before you say that won`t happen.....what if it does? Do you still think he has the gas tank to do it fighting at a fast pace? Look at his fights, and you see he paces himself in all of them , because he has always been in control of the pace. Speed, he is much slower in both hand speed, and footspeed. Bivol can move and fight at the same pace for the full 12 rounds. AB doesn`t do well going backways (Yarde fight in spots). AB rests in fights when he wants, but Bivol denied both Ramirez and Canelo that luxury when they tried it. People need to understand you don`t need knockout power, you just need enough to gain respect, and more importantly, be able to disrupt the rhythm of the opponent. He throws fast and multiple combinations which ends up bewildering and frustrating opponents. AB has had problems apparently with sparring partners in this training camp with fast hands. He is a mid range to inside pressure fighter. Bivol has the ability to frustrate him by staying outside when he wants, but to use the pendulum step to great effect as he is so damn quick with it. The biggest problem I see for Beterbiev, is power is great - if you can land it. Look at Lacy vs Calzaghe for this. That is how I see this fight personally. It`s boxing, and of course anything can happen, but I just see too many advantages for Bivol in a large ring against a 39 yr old mader to look great in his last fight because the ring was the 2nd smallest allowed in boxing. AB is a boxer with a notably slower hand/foot speed, and I think these are the main factors.
Both great fighters. BUT if everyone was honest then they predicted Beterbiev would destroy Bivol, look at their last 5 fights, it's clear there is a big difference. What do we have any doubts about with a 100% KO record, 3Belts. It's clear Beterbiev will be LUCKY again. 21-0-0 In Shaa Allah
Nobody and i mean nobody in boxings world is so good as Bivol finding and punching oponents exactly when they are in disbalans. Nobody feels as good as him WHEN to step forward, like go out of range. Nobody can compares with Bivol in that. Range is all. Bivol is best in it. Beterbiev is best, on the other way, to cut it down. Who will do it bettter?! Open fight to 100%. In my opinion Bivol is more complet boxer, than Beterbiev. Power is just part of it. Bivol will eliminate that part from Arthur and win. Carefully.
I've got bivol..bivol at his best is a better boxer than beterbiev... better defence better jab better feet... that's usually the difference in these high caliber high pressure fight's...bivol unanimous decision is my pick
Right now I'm leaning Beterbiev by stoppage, but opponent's connect % against Bivol is so low that it's as close to 50-50 as can be. 51-49 Beterbiev. Bivol is such a good technician as well and Beterbiev is a better boxer than he's given credit for.

Very true. You won't see him doing something stupid in the ring.
He does get caught tho and has been severely hurt
And it’s not an issue for Beterbiev anyways, he has dropped guys and hurt guys who had never been hurt or dropped before
Beterbiev got caught because of his arrogance but he won't be that careless against Bivol because he knows him.
Bivol good. But beterbiev is different level same like khabib of mma.thst unbeaten record mentality will to win attitude
I’m taking Beterbiev, the power difference is a huge factor for me…while Bivol jab can definitely keep Artur honest early, I think when Artur gets his jab going the difference will be shown…especially if Bivol, hangs against the ropes like he did against Canelo and Zurdo, then Beterbiev combinations will be too much for Bivol…Bivol can win but it’s too hard of an ask for him to control Beterbiev for all 12…
Bivol truly makes boxing look like poetry in motion. These Eastern European boxers are somethin’ special.
For those paying attention, Beterbiev was beating gvozdyk pillar to post from the beginning of the fight. Gvozdyk was just moving a lot but the method for him getting dropped a few times then getting stopped started from the beginning
Gvozdyk did a good job boxing, sticking and moving. But Beterbiev really manhandled him from the 1st round.
Gvozdyk also beat bivol late in their amateur careers
@@spoj3922 they never fought, Gvozdyk was given the win because Bivol forfeited
@@Randomhandlename any idea why bivol forfeited cuz I didnt know this

Bivol aged that man out. This fight should have happened at least 4 years ago
Beterbiev was always A side and neither PBC nor Bob Arum wanted Bivol fight. Bivol always looked for belts but noone wanted him bc he was high risk, low reward
he didnt age him out, he been wanted the fight.
Arum has stated om camera that he wasn't interested in making that match, because he considered Bivol "a boring fighter".
No he didn't. Quit it with the preemptive excuses.
Bivol been ducking Beterbiev. Too bad for him it ain't going to matter, even at 39, Beterbiev will KO him
You earned a follow.
There's always possibilities in boxing
Bivol by stoppage, though? He's not a finisher. The last fight he had in Saudi A, he tried and had many opportunities and didn't get it.
No way better than Bivol. Better than Canelo maybe
Bivol is not even on Beterbiev’s level. Bivol hasn’t stopped a bum in years. And Beterbiev eats bombs from the biggest punchers and doesn’t even budge. Gvozdyk was far better than Bivol. Bivol never beat a live champion
@@Randomhandlename Beterbiev was knocked down twice
Haney vs Garcia was a fake fight😂 clearly haney was paid to lose
Bivol also lost to gvozdyk in the amateurs late in their amateur careers.
I think Bivol will lose this fight.
Those punches put Gvodzik out of commission for over 3yrs, he was properly battered.
This earned a sub
Good work!Trust your instincts.
Bivol. Not talking and boxers frustrate punchers; after 6-8, BTB will go mental if he's not KO'd him, becomes erratic and lose even wider on the scorecards.
АРТУР iDEAL💪💪💪💪💪💪🥊
Very good review
gvozdyk didnt lose to beterbiev because he was tired it was the body shots that slowed him down
watch the boxing stats then coming back. I had 87-84 beterbiev before the KO
@@neorock6135 joe smith barely hurt him with an overhand right right at the bell, of the 11th round bivol lost his concentration and recovered instantly then proceeded to humiliate smith next round...

if Bivol can set on his punches a bit more and hurt Beterbiev...its going to be hard for Beterbiev. Beterbiev eats leather
Beterbiev too strong for Bivol..cheers!
You all will be surprised by beterbiev. He will teach bivol boxing lessons. Sit tight. Yall be in chock
There's no chock. Artur knocks out all his opponents. Just another day in the office for him.
If you want to see an intense fight or opponent against Bivol. Check out the the Salumov fight.
Salimov is a good boxer too
Joe Smith Jr rocked Bivol at one point in their fight with only the end of the rd saving him.
Now imagine what Beterbiev who hits harder by orders of magnitude will do...
Great point Neo! Strong point here
Excellent breakdown, but I think you’re giving AB too much credit on his footwork. I think he is going to get thoroughly outbox maybe even hurt a couple times
Last time Bivol hurt anybody was the Obama administration lol
Beterbiev has fought and won gold in the Olympics multiple times, he is used to a 24ft ring
@@benis164he didn’t win gold wtf are u talking about 🤣🤣
@@benis164he always got outboxed never won gold 🤣

Bivol fought Joe Smith in Joes prime and his win against Zurdo. Also another prime opponent.
Zurdo was slow and lethargic in that fight
Beterbiev vs Gvozdyk was one of the most violent fights Ive seen in recent years. That fight took alot out of both men. Gvozdyk is basically a shell of himself now. Beterbiev have slowed down alot. As far as bivol vs beterbiev I got beterbiev by late stoppage. Bivol don't have enuff fire power or movement to keep the old man off and the old man set trap by playing possum. And what beterbiev do best is Bivol weakness. Beterbiev body shoots and punching around the high guard will take him to the win
Don't forget bivol lost to gvozdyk at the end of their amateur careers.
Not enough movement....really??
@Ultimagtr650 yep not enuff bivol move just enuff to be able to counter which means he will be in range to get counter. Again beterbiev bivol need to throw one or two shots and gets all the way out of range and make beterbiev reset...that half step to the sides, short pull backs and staying in the high guard will get him knocked out against beterbiev
there are two fighters that managed to drop artur. not sure if people were aware he's been dropped before.
Yeah Callum was a beast

Let's not forget beterbiev destroyed gvozdyk who beat bivol late in their amateur careers.
Beterbiev is a 65% favorite against Bivol's 35%.
HERE ARE THE REASONS:
1. Familiarity with style:
Beterbiev came through the Soviet system, and Bivol has that style. Chances are that Beterbiev fought people with that style for breakfast, lunch, and dinner back in the day. Bivol is brilliant and unique, and a one-of-a-kind technician, but still, it's an advantage for Beterbiev due to familiarity.
2. Amateur record:
Beterbiev is an amateur legend.
3. Reputation:
Everyone who has sparred with Beterbiev praises him to no end. There are whispers about his sparring sessions and of partners quitting because it's too difficult, etc. All of this will have some psychological impact on Bivol and his team. Also, Bivol knows him from way back. During their rare interactions, you can see Beterbiev has a big brother vibe around Bivol.
4. Style:
Bivol simply cannot avoid him for 12 rounds.
5. Inside fighting:
Probably an extension of the previous point. Beterbiev will close the range by round 4/5. At this point, he will force Bivol to go into a shell and absolutely bully Bivol. Bivol will hate this and start avoiding the inside by constantly moving. This will reduce Bivol's output considerably, and Beterbiev will keep getting better.
6. Pressure and intelligence (IQ):
Also an extension of point 4 but worthy of an independent call-out. Beterbiev basically smothers you with pressure. You can't think or strategize when you are in the ring with him. He will keep coming forward and make you feel claustrophobic. This tends to put the opponent in survival mode. It happened with Gvozdyk after round 6. The same thing happened with Browne.
7. Bivol's lack of power:
Bivol's last knockout was Sullivan Barrera, which was in 2018 or something.
8. Team:
Beterbiev's team is very good analytically.
9. Body work:
Watch the Gvozdyk fight for reference.
10. Power and Timing:
I've kept this for the last. No explanation needed. The only point I'll add is that Beterbiev's timing is extremely underrated. And we all know that timing beats speed.
HERE'S HOW THE FIGHT WILL PLAY OUT
Rounds 1-3:
These will be Bivol rounds.
Rounds 4-6:
This is where you'll start seeing signs. Cuts and bruises on both faces but some swollen points for Bivol. You'll also see Bivol slowing down a bit because of the hits to the body.
Rounds 7-9:
This is where Beterbiev will start breaking down Bivol more visibly.
Rounds 10-12:
These will be Beterbiev rounds.
Excellent points sir!
@@BoxingWave thank you! Glad you liked it.
Got to say I disagree on most of what you said as a lot of it was simply ancient history or pertains to fighters with styles totally different to Bivol..
Factors which matter most which you neglected are:
Ring 22 - 24 ft NOT the 18 ft he usually fights in (always when in Montreal), or when he can stipulate.
Wave Bivol will win this fight......I think
