- The last time I visited Patutiva was in 2010- ten years ago. Not much has changed.
It is an uphill climb but the view from the top, especially from the new church area and the school is worth it.
Patutiva is one of the largest villages in Marovo. It is situated directly opposite Seghe and is a 2 minutes boatride to cross over.
Patutiva, literal translation, means "stone stand". Patu - Stone. Tiva - Stand.
On one end of the village, during the headhunting days, it is a place of sacrifice to the gods before heading out.

My god! It's been ,17 years now since i left solomon islands. .i love marovo and ruviana lagoon and most especially the friendly people there..is golden springs still operates there?
