    This video is the
    best I could find on the net when it comes to learning
    a bit of HOW the "Treat & Train" can be used for running contacts. Thanks a lot! :-) We have just
    received our T & T, I did not know how to start the RC training using T
    & T, so, this is a very helpful video.

    Beautiful! I have running contacts on my 19 month old BC, but this inspires me to keep working harder! Thank you! :)

    Awesome video and impressive training! The only thing missing, that I would like to see, is what you did to train teeter. How do you keep the dog from flying off the teeter? How did you train teeter when simultaneously training running contacts? My novice dogs took a while to learn the difference and so I was wondering about that. Let us know how to train teeter at the same time. In any case, I really enjoyed the video and found it inspiring.

    What age did you start the foundations on the contact?

    Do you have any tips for a dog that isn't super food motivated? My border collie won't drive to food at the end of a plank.

    Fantastic! Would love to see the training of the running a-frame???

    • @BelgierPower
      @BelgierPower  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In my training the a-frame comes finally after all basics on dog walk are safe. Then I train the a-frame by the same system but in fast run ;-).

      +Mona Grefenstein So, did you backchain the a-frame as you did the dog walk using the manners minder? Do you have any "do's" and "don't's" you would recommend to someone training running afraid with manners minder? 😀

      +Mona Grefenstein Particularly, if a person is training a 2on2off on dog walk but a running a-frame 😀

    Is this dog related to Silvia Trkman's To? Looks and moves really similarly! Super awesome!

    • @BelgierPower
      @BelgierPower  9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, Qju and To are sisters! Same litter by Infinity Light kennel :-).

      Both are such cool dogs! So incredible! :)

      Yes they are! :-)

    The benefit is, that speed isn't important at all... so you can start with 7 months with shaping the behavior on the plank. Only important that the dog can sort his legs already ;-). And of course it isn't needed to train every day! I did it like I want... sometimes three times a day each five minutes and another time one week nothing.

      +Mona Grefenstein Did you got help from any online classes as well or you used your own method? :)

      No, I did it by myself! ;-) Just trusted my feelings :-).

      Hi Mona!
      What a great work you did, beautiful!!!!
      I tried ST's method, but it wasn't sucessfull with my dog, because of me, not because of the method.
      So we stopped at the middle of the process (too much failures) and started all over again.
      We're still at the beginnig, but using your way, he seems to have a better understanding of the behaviour I'm looking for.
      I have 3 questions, and would be really please if you could answer :-)
      1) Once your dog was ok with the stage "table + down plank", how long did you stay with this set-up until you started using the full DW?
      2) Did you rise the DW gradually or just from half height to full height ?
      3) When did you introduce the toy instead of the Ma.Minder?
      Best regards
      Nadia

      Thanks Nadia! :-)
      To your questions:
      1) After that stange I train turns on a plank/down ramp of dogwalk first. If this is also really safe with a lot of confidence for the dog I try first time full dogwalk.
      2) Like it fit. No strict system. So you can train immediatly the full height of dogwalk. If the dog is not so conftibale with the height a bit lower first. Because of really good basics with different angles in the beginning the height is not a so much important criteria.
      3) Really late if you are running togehter with your dog already. The toy replaced the robot bit by bit in some further situations with obstacles behind dogwalk.

      Eigentlich können wir auch so weitermachen :-)
      Vielen Dank dass du so schnell geantwortet hast, ist sehr nett von dir.
      Letzte Frage: wann hast du mit der A-Wand angefangen?
      Wünsche dir eine schöne Woche!

    Hallo,
    wie alt war sie wo du dein 1.Tunier gelaufen bist?
    Und noch eine Frage:
    Hattest du als Welpe auch schon angefangen oder erst wo sie groß war und hattest du ganz zu Anfang auch das Brett erst nur auf dem Boden liegend wie Jenny Damm?
    LG Kim

    • @BelgierPower
      @BelgierPower  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Kim, das erste Turnier war mit 18 Monaten und ich hab begonnen mit dem Training, da war sie so 7 Monate alt. Aber wie unten beschrieben halt nicht jeden Tag was gemacht, wie es eben passte. Das Brett im Wohnzimmer hatte immer direkt eine Steigung. Flach am Boden habe ich es nie gemacht.
