as an italian, i wish they would serve us that food, we just bring it from home most of the times, and no they don’t care about us students, the school system is bad💀
Well you could technically do it yourself, because we always had a salad buffet with infinit bread. The pasta part is true, and the grape depends on your region.
As South Korean. Since 1996 when I was in elementary school, I had school lunch from elementary school to high school like one in the picture which is very nutritious. Also when I started to work ,the work also offered lunch like that (sometimes they offer dinner too). So I really got used to have homemade style soup and rice and lots of side dishes like fried veggie for almost two dacades. So for me, having nutritious lunch has been very normal. And I married to American and moved to the U.S. now we have 2kids and one of them started to go to elementary school here and I got really shocked from the school lunch here. :(. The food quality is not as good as I thought for growing up kids. and I was also surprised by “Lunchable. PB&J“ things…. The school lunch in America was such a big culture shock for me.
Exactly, every Friday in primary we would literally be served fish and chips (that actually tasted really good). and in comp/secondary, they literally served hotdogs, popcorn chicken and more stuff which I can’t be bothered saying lol
That was like a coming of age thing as we were going into highschool. The sooner you could drive, the sooner you could grab a decent meal before your next class.
@@Starae336 usually, but it wasn’t anything like this (at least for me). Usually there was edible food (my first high school had sushi and potato gems but I don’t remember the rest. Rectangle pizza and those petrol station sausage rolls were at my primary school, but that was a private one so idk about others) and some good drinks (maybe even some paddle pops etc.) In my experience it was usually only bought occasionally. For some of us it was about once a term (me in primary school) or on Fridays (some of my friends in primary school). Don’t think I know anyone who got it everyday tho
Im from Turkey and now i live in America forever :) They were making rice and peas with beef and side for plums, For me i still eat turkish food and english too.
As a Spanish student I can confirm that we don't get served shrimp at lunch. In Spain we bring our own lunch from home, and It would probably be: fruit (apples or tangerines) or a bocata (made of Spanish omelette or Jamón Serrano with cheese). In Spain there's no cafeteria, instead we all go to a big area where we enjoy our lunch and play with our friends while we eat.
Dude, Serrano with cheese? As a student? I'm 39, German and never ate stuff like that. You still eat better than the most germans. Be proud. Btw I love Italian cuisine. World's best.
Not in any school. I lived for 4-5 years in Spain in Torrevieja ant at that school i went on i got lunch sometimes Paella sometimes Tortilla (the potato egg thing that i miss sometimes) and seafood isn't that expensiv If you live or buy it near the sea but it depends where you live.

It's probably a stock photo or something. Usually high schools here don't have a lunch room, they just gave a café where you can grab a sandwich or a cornetto, or something similar. The large majority of students just go home for lunch
As a British person, I am very glad my school dinners were never that bad 💀💀 Edit: Because this is getting attention, I will say how my dinners were like during school. I can't remember back as far as primary school (I'm in college now so that was over five years ago). In secondary school we had a canteen where you could buy pizza, sandwiches, jacket potato, chips, pasta etc. The food was really good as well, a little over priced, but better than the rubbish they showed in the video. There was also a massive choice of drinks, and you could buy cake and cookies too. You would pay for all of this using a fingerprint scanner. My secondary school was in North Wales btw, it was a pretty crap school, but at least the food was good, especially the pizza, large slice, stuffed crust, 10/10 lmao
American here, that Estonian food looks to be mashedpotatoes and some kind of stew/slop, and to be honest, it reminds me a lot of homemade food that I used to and still eat, if I’m honest, I’d put it right behind Italy’s, it looks very tasty, but that’s just me.

Basically in Britain they only do gross lunches in primary school but secondary school they do quite nice foods you get to buy yourself stuff in the canteen in some schools
As an Italian, in my school the lunch wasn't like this. It was very bad and always cold.
In America, I think they make the lunch like that because it's a survival match and the students just take what they can get

@@Starae336 usually, but it wasn’t anything like this (at least for me). Usually there was edible food (my first high school had sushi and potato gems but I don’t remember the rest. Rectangle pizza and those petrol station sausage rolls were at my primary school, but that was a private one so idk about others) and some good drinks (maybe even some paddle pops etc.)
In my experience it was usually only bought occasionally. For some of us it was about once a term (me in primary school) or on Fridays (some of my friends in primary school). Don’t think I know anyone who got it everyday tho

Edit: Because this is getting attention, I will say how my dinners were like during school.
