I saw the movie. I have to say that while I thought Austin Butler did a great job singing and moving like Elvis when they showed him performing onstage, I was very bummed out that they portrayed Elvis as a depressed individual who seemed to NEVER be in a good mood and didn't have a sense of humor at all. They might as well have called the movie Emo Elvis. They made his mother sound like she was a drunk, clingy woman, and they made Vernon seem like an idiot. I know Elvis was happy at least sometimes in his life and knew how to joke around, but you would never know it by watching that movie. Just my opinion.

That's awesome. I haven't been there since 1991. My best friend Kyle was a huge Elvis fan. We went there and really enjoyed it. Kyle died in 1998 at the young age of 26. I miss him every day. At least we got to enjoy our trip to Graceland.

really nice to see Graceland on a quieter note when its not crazy busy; I haven’t seen new Elvis movie yet, one of his songs I really luv so much is If I Can Dream - the words are so true we can still dream no matter what life throws at us, after this pandemic alot of us are feeling like what needs to change how to better our lives, how we can survive financial stress or start all over again; I draw strength from Elvis’ songs just luv his music and movies for the joy I receive from his gifts he gave us in life.

One of my favorite songs he sang was “I can’t stop lov’in you” mostly because my cousin Don Gibson wrote it in 1957! But there’s just not another voice like Elvis’s!

I was very skeptical of the new movie especially when I heard that Austin Butler was doing the music. My brother kept sending me articles and finally talked me into going. Austin Butler does not look like Elvis . He maybe has the shape of his face at certain moments I think it was computer enhanced both with the music and the image. There was enough actual footage of Elvis to make it interesting. Every female I know confess to crying and even days after I saw it I cried in front of my husband and he understands. The movie makes you realize how much you miss him. And I thought it was such a tribute to Elvis at the end of the movie nobody left until the lights came up in the theater. I've heard the same tribute was shown when my friends saw the movie as well. I immediately wanted to go visit Graceland again. So thank you Jordan. I think when he sang Unchained Melody ..My brother had speculated that this movie was just to draw new fans and maybe stir up the old ones. So I said well if the question is are you still mine. The answer is yes. 🙏😎🦁

This 'morning visit' was a real treat. You provided us with a quieter, more peaceful Graceland - more the way it would have been when Elvis lived there. It was a beautiful tribute and another great addition to your back catalogue of Vlogs that feature 'The King'. It was also interesting to hear Scott's impressions of Graceland after not being there for a while. As you say, in the end, it's simply about one thing - his music. Many thanks Jordan and Scott for this vlog. Safe Travels.

If you aren't overly obvious about it, nobody usually says anything.. if you are walking with your arm out with a camera making it obvious, they will probably hassle you.. they are so scared to death of anyone making a penny off the grounds.. its crazy. Hopefully with Riley taking over, graceland will be a much more welcoming place in the future

I went to Graceland in 2019 and had no idea you could go to the Meditation Gardens in the morning before they opened. I happen to walk to the gates with about 10 minutes to spare before they closed it up for the morning. For anyone going to Graceland, go in the morning. It's a beautiful walk up the drive and you get to spend a little time at the graves before it gets busy. Wish I'd had more time that morning.

Unless it's changed since I was there in 2015, there's also an evening walk-up, which I did. I prefer, being a night person, the beautiful evening walk-up. So quiet and peaceful being there with Elvis, even with people all around. Everyone very respectful. But if I saw an impersonator, in costume, I would go the other way. It would ruin it for me. I've walked up that hill more times than I can count for the vigil and never once saw an impersonator. I didn't think they were allowed to go on Graceland's grounds in their garb.

In 2014, I was lucky enough to be there first thing in the morning as they weren't going to open that day due to there being something happening at the house. A guard across the road radio-ed up for me, and the gate house guy messaged back and said he would open the gates. So I thanked him and walked over, the only person, as the gates opened up and I walked through and up the drive. I then proceeded to have Elvis to myself for half an hour before I then left and finally passed people back at the gate coming in. I filmed the whole thing, and so glad I did! I've been a fan since I was a kid and luckily for me, I think Elvis knew and welcomed me in for some one to one time! What a treat, I know that chance would probably never happen again!

I’ve been doing nothing but obsessing over all the stuff lately since I saw the movie and I saw it for the second time this week. Why is Elvis so addicting lol. The nostalgic feel does give me anxiety because I know I’ll never ever be able to live during that period. It makes me sad how the world turned out and that people like him don’t exist anymore.

@@DazewithJordantheLion I mean obviously a biopic isn't gonna be able to show everything and in accurate order etc, it's not a documentary. But it's a good start to get into Elvis, and next read some books and watch some actual documentaries etc to get a deeper look into his life :) I've been a fan for 20 years, learned nothing new from the movie, spotted some inaccuracies, but I was able to look past them bc the movie as a whole was so well done, at least in my eyes, and since this movie has been very well received, I think many agree. I went to see it twice!
I think the most important thing though is that the Presley family loves it and thinks it's done right, because it's about a family member of theirs, husband, father, grandfather. We as fans can have our opinions on it, but we're only fans after all.

I just didn't like really any of it, except the director of photography. Austin Butler nailed the dance moves, but not Elvis as a person.. and frankly with the movie being called ELVIS, there are no excuses.. call the movie something else if you don't want people to expect a truthful elvis story.. I mean, it wasn't even 60% true..

My mother would have given her eye teeth to go to Graceland. She was a superfan. She had so much merch that we sold when died, good lord.

I haven’t been since 2019 but think about Graceland everyday. Outback is my favorite part, it’s so peaceful. I never did the morning walk but want to once just to be able to walk up the driveway instead of being shuttled

Beauiful video! I've been to Graceland three times. 1982, 1997 and 2005. In 82 all of Elvis' cars were still in his carport at back of the mansion.
I also remember all the souvenir shops across the street. Great memories!

Thanks for showing us Graceland and the Graves. I hadn't seen his Grandson's until now. So, that was nice.
I did like the movie. Although I took it for what it was. It wasn't a Documentary. Events combined, not in order. Not totally accurate. Hollywood. Vernon's portral was not accurate for sure.
I haven't been to Graceland since 1984. So all these videos popping up are really exciting for me. 💕

If I ever visit the US, Graceland and Sun Studios will be top of my list of places to experience. I know I'll be a blubbering mess because I'll be standing in the footsteps of a musical and cultural phenomenon.

Good thing there is a lot of Elvis videos on TH-cam and we can see what the REAL Elvis was like. How he danced, how he sang, his interviews.

I am getting a golf cart. I am going to fly down my street, pretending Elvis is by my side urging me on.
