Yes indeed although the extra e string isn't in case it breaks while putting it on (as said in the video) it's because the high e string is always the one that breaks. Mid solo 🤘
Stay in tunes(sit) are the best strings on the market. And you get an extra high e and b string, and if you get .011 and up you get a wound or unwound g string and they last forever.

Thicker strings definitely give a "bigger" sound, particularly on an acoustic. I just put some 13s on my acoustic because it doesn't have enough neck relief and I'm trying to bow it a little - and holy crap, these strings seem twice as loud as the 10s or 11s I had on it before.
oooo my first amp ever was the Spider V 30, i dont care what anyone says, its a great little amp, and makes starting out on electric guitar so much fun! after playing a cheap acoustic for 4 years, i finally got enough money for a fender strat, and an amp. never been happier!
Word of caution with the bandlab analog link. It's not good with Android at all. It was developed for iOS and then they tagged Android on to the device. Androids will always have latency issues and cannot take advantage of the cool things the AP does. Also if your phone doesn't have a headphone jack your gonna have to use the dongle adapter with your phone.
My top 10 no particular order 1. Picks 2. Pedals 3. Strings 4. A Telecaster 5. A slide 6. An amp 7. Whammy bar 8. Tuner 9. A Stratocaster 10. A Gibson SSG
Those are not very good because those depend highly on the guitarist’s tastes and preferences. We all have picks, strings, guitars and amps that we love and wish we had... and picks, strings, guitars, and amps that I wouldn’t touch with a ten-foot pole...
Couldn't agree with #5 more. Any time I buy a guitar, I get straplocks while I'm there at the store. Thankfully my cheapo Epiphone Les Paul I used to carry around in high school BEFORE I discovered straplocks is built like a fucking tank, that thing got dropped on the headstock (on concrete no less) more times than I can count and it's still in great shape.
What is the difference between a chorus and a phase? I am starting a pedal board right now. I already have a tuner, boss distortion and a analog delay. I just need a overdrive, chorus/phase/flange etc., and a wah pedal. Do you have any idea which pedals I need to buy?
I just about vomited when you said a starter pack came with a Spider V. Line 6 has done fucked up with that combo amp line. Also, I would personally suggest Focusrite's 2i2 for a first audio interface. I use it, and love it.
Forget cables, strings and tuners, we will already have those. We love stuff.. sometimes we love stupid stuff too, especially as presents. My girlfriend bought me a Fender branded Telecaster kitchen chopping board. It's the best pressie ever. I refuse to use lesser squire, epiphone or Yamaha chopping boards. The tone is just amazing... cutting salads? Sorted.. Steaks? ... brilliant. Bread...... meh... not so much, the denser woods of the Gibson is still better for sliced bread. This advert is bought to you by the man who thought that the Gibson Firebird would look better as a coffee table.
thats funny! i have a gibson sg double neck coffee table! im still using my old first act cutting board though. it really doesnt work very well, alot of buzz.
No plectrums? That's is easiest and cheapest gift! Just find out the preference.....mine is Dunlop Vortex .88 mm greens! This June of this year (2023), I have been playing guitar for 42 years....whew! 😂 And after lots of gigs, rehearsals, practice, whatever....I rarely break strings. And that's because D'addario XL's are simply the best!
Nice ideas. I used to use Schaller strap locks for a while but they are not an easy fit to all guitars (e.g. Les Paul screws are larger diameter than the hole in the strap lock). These days I prefer the Planet Waves Locking Straps. Perhaps you guys should stock them :-)
Great video, do another video same title but for 15 year heavy player that has a large stock of gas. Heres my wish list Shure 57, celestion 30, picks becuase I burn through them, a cockblocker , invective mh, purple roadworn tele, and a solar.
Was getting a new electric one that wasn't too expensive as I was travelling with it and if it wasn't too expensive If it ended up that I couldn't bring it home it would be okay. They guy at PMT tried to sell me the Yamaha Pacifica started pack but instead i bought a epiphone Les Paul for £355. There was no chance I was leaving it there
So, new subscriber, I REALLY dig you guys' videos! Would you guys ever consider doing reviews of "off-brand" electrics? For example, I've heard good, but limited things about a brand called "Wolf" guitars, where it gets into this murky area of "Are they REALLY great guitars that are cheaper because they aren't brand-name? Or are they just cheap guitars that can get away with less quality control?" Also, because I'm new to the world of electric guitars (I've always played classical acoustic), I'd REALLY be into a video breaking down different technical aspects of electrics. You know, what are the different kinds of pickups, what are different styles of neck and how do different materials feel, what sorts of electrics produce what kinds of sounds, just kind of an "Idiot's guide to Electric guitars". Maybe even doing individual videos on each park of the guitar (ie. "a video about pickups", "a video on necks and frets", etc)? I'm sure that information exists out there, but I really dig the host here, does a great job explaining stuff!
"wolf" guitars are also available under different names. try "IYV" guitars as well. i have a couple, they are nice for what they cost, but ,they will need some upgrades and some set up done. they are a great value though.
20 Years ago I got a Yamaha ERG121 starter pack as my 1st electric. Still have the amp. Sadly an ex has the guitar. Can't find a ERG121 for love nor money now. If anyone has one give me a shout!. If not the pacifica maybe the way to go.

Strap Locks! Mind, blown. Awesome vid as always dude!
