The hug Nixie give Antrius is precious. "Usually we cut back to tabletop by now" 🤣 I love the idea that if the DM falls asleep, the characters are just stuck in a void.
Bit of a tangent, but one day I want to see a DND movie where the BBEG discovers the existence of the players, so he sends monsters to our world to kill them, so their characters have to rescue the players and take them to the campaign world to protect them.

Depending on how early they've started planning for this episode, they could easily have squeezed in a quick shoot with him when he was already in costume during other episodes.
I remember playing a paladin once. He wasn’t a bright one, but it allowed me to dumb our way back onto the rails if I got worried we were getting too side tracked. The Dungeon Master worked hard. He didn’t deserve to deal with ALL of the rogue’s B.S..
It's okay, Patrick. There is no DnD. Your mother is right, and you'll be better off without the murderhobos. Who wants to spend time with a pyromaniac, a shagaholic musician, a violence response-first half-elf? I mean, surely no one. No one. Well, maybe a few people. Only a small group, maybe a dozen at most? A couple of dozen. Less than fifty, surely. A hundred? Maybe add a zero or to to that, tops? OH GODS please don't leave us, what will we do with you you?!?!?! 😭
So they finally broke him ... but we got a lot more, Evandras new hair style, Nixie nibbling on flowers, pillow fights ... but I have seen none of the rails they were all talking about!

Seriously though I find the best bit of DMing is when they go off the expected path, as long as it is in a reasonable way - it is much more interesting if nobody knows where the story is going. Also keeps you on your toes which is more interesting that just sitting there rolling die in the expectation of failure..
Don't lie, you're still a Forever DM. We always will be. The only way to be a player is to play in another higher ranked Forever DM campaign in addition to our regular game(s)...
Yep actually had dreams like that. Mine was a bit weirder with people in my life, even people that wouldn't be playing dnd, all playing as characters in my game, but it was so many people that no one was getting a turn while fighting.
I was just talking to some guys about how I pretty much improv entire campaigns and they somehow work, great skill to have when you can't predict the players. Love you, Deerstalker team!

Or not obliterated the rails in the first session? Have a very warm Christmas and New Year down there while we in the US freeze. Can we borrow that dragon?
My brother's friends came over for a super bowl party and wanted to play D&D. So I ended up improvising an entire one shot as my first ever time being DM. With a party of ten people. It was chaotic but everyone seemed to have fun.
I’ve only just finished watching these and I would love to see an episode where Antrius is the on the receiving end of a new player flirting with him. Whether he ends up enjoying it or becomes uncomfortable is a toss up, just think it would be funny to see.
As a DM, i learned to just not have rails. They drive the car, I'm just the backseat driver pointing out what stuff they can do along the way. Whatever they stop at, thats what we play. Improvisation is fun, and can give a nice surprise for the DM who usually knows every little thing that’s going to happen. It was fun and has now opened up yet another sub-plot for us to explore. And me to write. Fun.
After watching a couple of your movies, I tried to pick my favourite character, and I can't. Your characters complete each other, and not one of them would be so much fun and interesting without the other two.
My group just finished a campaign, and we did a first to our DM, we killed his BBEG in one round. We all landed hits on him, but one guy got a natural 20, and did close to 150 hp worth of damage in that one hit. We had already circumvented a battle by lashing a wand of frost onto an arrow, and shoot it into a fire (that we assumed was home to fire elementals or some such). The resulting blast killed anything present. Before that the party had to drag my Swashbuckling Horn Dog Satyr Rogue/Fighter Pirate (the only non-magic in the party) away from a Siren who he had just fallen in lust with.
