Update: apparently they hotfixed the loot at some point in time, and so it does have a daily lockout and you, allegedly, have a 1 chance per day to loot it.
If you want an easier farm, there's a rare in Maldraxxus called Bubbleblood which drops a very similar back piece! I too am still missing the one from the pool x(
It is called RingMenu. (At least one of the ones I have used) It is some work setting up, but can be useful. I do find that it is always late for updates though and can be a pain in the .....lol
I literally left my Dracthyr here specifically for this because you could use the Dragonriding racial to carry them lmao. And now that I have everything from this possible. (Transmogg, Mount, pet, achieve.) Only after I finished with it did they finally add dragon riding making Dracthyr irrelevant 😂
Hey, I knew about this but I read on wowhead that apparently you can only loot the mount if it's your first time looting it daily. Did you drop the mount in other circumstances ? You seem pretty sure about the daily lockout on this one. thanks my man

The movespeed issue SUUUUCKED so much, so glad there's a way around it now!
It's been a great change. Been farming the oily invertebrate for the back piece, which needs 10 yellow. Fast flying makes a HUGE difference.

I used to do it once a day just cause of how boring it used to be, but yea i just looked it up and i suppose they did hotfix that at some point X(

Just went and tested this, it's not any faster, your speed is still cut in half when carrying the stuff to the pool.
