These RS4s are some of the hardest cars to fit aftermarket blowers on. Reliably is whole other story. With these cars you get what you pay for. Even VF Engineering here in the US never finished their kit, and alls they do is aftermarket blowers for euro cars. . That's got to say something
this car was so impressive and that supercharger whine this thing has is seriously one of the best sounds ever lol huge money upgrade but i think worth every penny
That same 6speed GETRAG transmission is also with 3.0tdi engines and they make 650Nm and more when tuned. So no problems with the gearbox, but clutch and dual mass flywheel (with tdi) are the ones which give up first.

Owner is selling it because of the monthly cost, but no one is buying it. Im so happy when my car is completley done in summer. My A4 i bought from the scrap dealer (: Engine is conpletley restored to its original condition. It has now 161556,51miles on it and works still like brand new (:

God i hate american's trying to review Australian cars clueless and the accent. The adaptive suspension that was standard in this car has been removed and it has KW coilovers fitted so ross has no clue when he said its in "normal mode" That was filmed along stoneville rd, in stoneville/gidgegannup.
1.. not American 2... are you the new owner? Because I wasn’t told about any coilovers.. also there is a sports mode so when it’s in normal settings I was explaining how it felt..

It's almost exactly a year since I got my 2008 RS4 saloon here in the States. Literally smiles for miles. So often I find myself turning the radio off to hear the rpms and exhaust.
I hope I have the opportunity in the future to purchase this supercharged version or similar in Aus. Awesome review! Captured every angle and detail with perfection!
I had a MKV GTI with a 280hp tune and it was just unusable in Australia. Every highway became a Autobahn. These German cars are not fun on Aussie roads (unless you know where to go). Needless to say I sold my GTI and now looking for an XR8 or something smaller and more fun (like a french hot hatch or something) but ay you love hp;)
Very similar spec to my RS4 in the UK, sprint blue saloon (sedan) with sunroof, carbon trim, flat bottom steering wheel etc., oh and the MTM supercharger 😉 As far as I'm aware there is only one other MTM 'charged RS4 here which as it happens is in sprint blue but it's a convertible.
The reason why the RS-4 only sold 10K in 3 years was its price tag , a heavy US $80K ! The M-3 was about 20K less and despite the rear wheel drive , it had 318 HP, and 265 wide rear tires , also about 300 plus pounds less weight ? In other words , a car you could toss around and have as much fun with ?
Sean Clark I believe that was the crank.. but this car also had custom exhaust and intake so would be a little more than I quoted.. would love to see this get dyno’d... but man this was fast hp is just a number
535bhp was acceptable 5yrs ago but not now.. I had one of these and thought about a supercharger but at 10k to buy one I would be better of buying a c7 rs6.. That's the issue with the b7 rs4 with it naturally aspirated there's not much you can do with it...

Mabye not on a long straight but for pure all round capability and just unreal grip this car was truly one of the best I’ve had on the show

Most people just don’t comprehend how it is to have a car that’s over 500hp. Things break all the time and you can use these as daily drivers with mods. a car can easily consume $10-$20k on mods anything that’s above 500hp otherwise it’s not a all around properly built car. Plenty of forced induction options and tons of tuners to even do turbo builds. 2007 Audi s4 that I have will be getting a stage 1 engine build about $9500 to withstand e85 and 650hp with forced induction. Main goal with tuning a Audi 4.2 v8 is to get rid of that flat tQ curve with tuning and proper bolt ons, add forced induction and you have a completely different level of sedan.
I was lucky enough to drive one of these and I'll tell you, the videos I took was not close enough to share how insane the experience was. It was either straight piped or decatted. Was the best sounding V8 I've ever heard! Loud, low and beastly! Better than a straight piped E92 M3.

I thought they started building the RS4 B7 in 2004 till 2008 & built 2000 a year for 10000 worldwide.
