In Indonesia, the food here is always better on the street or smaller restaurants. Careful though sometimes it's not the most sanitary and some people raise the price when they know you're a foreigner, it's the same case with online transport like Grab or Gojek, you're right Blue Bird taxi is the most trusty with their prices and service.
The best advice I can give is travel with someone that speak the language so you get the best experience with reasonable prices. Glad you seem to like the food here and if you ever come back, be sure to explore other cities!

off topic but related to spicy food and a lesson to people who loves spicy food:
im malaysian and my whole family loves spicy food, i grew up eating spicy delicacy and when buldak bokkeum myun first become famous, i eat it like rice, like 4 times a week for dinner. on the 3rd year of my uni, everything in my life went south and my stress level was unbearable. ever since i became stress easily, my body couldnt handle spicy food anymore. my doctors, my parents, my friends all stopped me from eating anything spicy because if i eat it i'll get gastritis.
so to those who loves spicy food, please please please do not consume them when you're stressed out. i know its common sense but just a reminder!

I once went to a 10 min ride on a car with gocar and it costs Rp 20 000 but crazy thing is grab is twice that price.
In other places in indonesia theyre A LOT cheaper bcs we dont have tourists like in bali. In bali EVERYTHING is expensive bcs there are tourists. So if you have a relative who lives in indonesia, better ask them to come with you. Because bali ppl cant rlly do much to other indonesians bcs we know normal pricing for things in indk

The 3 leg water cans are "cooling water" brands. Some are called "Rhino water"
These water have cooling elements for the body.
Sometimes when I have constant mild fever I drink a bottle of that.
It's very popular in Malaysia too.

Indonesian food is a great diet food it doesn't hang around long enough for you to get any calories from it you have to cross your legs to eat it literally runs right through you like a spice ball now entering express lane now exiting! It's lovely once you adjust to it I just never adjusted to it!

When the spice of Indonesian style Sambal gives you the lip plumping that regular lip plumping gloss doesn’t.

well if you really think about it, when koreans eat spicy food it actually benefits them by giving them heat in their stomach. indonesia is a tropical country, the people don't need heat. i as an indonesian find it amusing that we just eat extremely spicy food for fun.

I'm genuinely surprised you handled that nasi ayam very well. Even for Indonesian like me the spiciness is a real deal at Warung Ibu Oki's . (not to mention the ultimate burning ass sensation later on :c)

Thank you for mentioning the taxi scam! I have been struggling to tell my foreign friends about this too. These days it's safer to use Blue Bird because it's a company that have been there for so long and always having the rational price.

Indonesian chili same as Thailand eye bird chili. Even has small size, but it can release huge hot sensation. If i didn't wrong, thailand eye bird chili has equal with 100.000 - 200.000 SHU (Scale Heat Unit). Maybe around that.

Grab drivers actually asks you to top up ovo pay, if u top up through them, they will get extra points, so the money is not for them, its for your ovo balance. :D. I recommend grab cuz its cheaper. Taxi drivers here actually would charge tourists more money, they wud even go as far as turning off the argo. So, grab is cheaper and more worth it hehe
