We see Nubsib’s and Aeoy’s relationship outside of the show and it makes you wonder sometimes we shouldn’t ship the actors because we don’t know if they actually like each other. Typically nowadays they won’t put actors who aren’t connecting in a show together but it makes you realize that usually shipping them makes them uncomfortable because they might have their own private relationship with someone else or they don’t even like guys 🤷

I hope they are not gonna pull a sick twist to where maybe Sib was once intimate with Aey as the reason he wants Gene not to talk to him. So far the Aey arc is just too dark, I really wish they would have balanced it a bit better. More and more it harder to watch because they just keep having it get creepier.

I honestly love this series. I love how they dealt with the trope of "don't talk to this person because *I* said so. *I know best* I'm worried about you so I don't have to tell you why you shouldn't do something. Just don't do it cause I told you not to." Gene is a grown man and he can make his own choices. And he let sib KNOW that. Loving this.

The reason why i love this series is gene for being the strong mature bottom, he can be shy and slow when loving nubsib, when he does, he is so brave. I love it.
The character of Gene is how a good human being with clear motives and zero hidden agenda would behave. He may be clumsy, under-confident yet his shining qualities of goodness makes me come back to him in awe and love
From what I can tell, Aoey doesn't genuinely like Sib (who seems to have thinly veiled contempt for him anyway). Aeoy's coming from a place where his family neither accepts his chosen profession (actor) nor his sexuality (gay). So to make a career and be successful not only as an actor but in a genre that is mostly about gay relationships would be a pretty big *F* you to his family. One way that actors stick around in BL is by setting up a successful pairing/ship that works effectively as branding across multiple shows (e.g., TayNew, BrightWin, MaxTul, OffGun). At the conference, he was definitely playing into that strategy of ambiguity regarding onscreen/offscreen ships to promote the show and their brand. I can't say for sure that's his entire motivation but it might be a factor. I assume the parts of his personality - petty, manipulative, two-faced, vindictive - are a result of the fallout with his family and ex.

I agree with you. I think he's not thinking through this and he's letting his emotions jealousy and anger dictate his actions and that's not good for his career or his social interactions with everyone and I'm afraid he's going to do something bad so yeah we'll have to see what the writers do with this. I still feel bad for him because he's had a very painful life and when your own family rejects you that's a pretty heavy thing to carry around.

Whatever you say about Aoey, Bruce is doing a great job portraying him. I don’t think it is easy to play the ‘bad’ guy. He managed to play such a realistic narcissist, he had my skin crawling. Nubsib knows too well of the consequences of losing trust in a relationship (as shown in their previous conflict), and so he doesn’t want Gene to be anywhere near Aeoy, alone, because he senses Aoey is going to incite conflict between the two again, exactly like how they’re arguing now...Had Tum not interrupted their moment, I think he would’ve articulate this.

Love seeing long episodes like this which are so enjoyable that I even wish they were even longer. The way they show the different sides of the bl industry like the quarrels between different groups of shippers is great. SibGene's chemistry is off charts and all the mystery behind Aoey and Nubsib is so interesting. Eager to see today's ep. Hope they would be a second season because I'm deeply in love with the series.

5:15 Gene's living that guys dream and all he does is grump about it. It's incredibly hard to make it as a writer but the majority of the time Gene looks unhappy about his success and the joy he's brought so many people.

This episode was just great. I loved the different developments. The acting is at the top and the alternation of funny scenes and intense scenes is well balanced. I can't wait for the next episode, the more we advance in the story, the more I love this series.
1 thing i love abt the concept of this series is tht I shows the actors in their daily life and their acting life so we can see the differences between who they really are and who they present to be. This can help fans in real life understand that they are ACTING and their true personality may be different than what you see on camera. Also so many people really believe in the BL ships, but as it is portrayed here, the BL couple in Bad Engineer are barely even friends outside of work. Really good and eye opening concept. I love this series
