Violet evergarden reminds me of Vinland Saga in a way. Both are about growing and overcoming horrific things they’ve done. Both have wars, but one is less cute. Don’t get why people hate on Vinland Saga season 2.
You know now that I just realized, Violet Evergarden and Black butler take place in pretty much the same timeline, Violet Evergarden probably a little before since in both Black Butler and Violet evergarden it’s canon the Eiffel Tower was being built near the end of Violet Evergarden and it was just finished in Black Butler
