    Thanks for watching!! 😇 Basically, I thought it would be interesting to make a daily vlog more "structured"...I planned on staying out longer, but it was just wayyyy too hot 🔥 So I went home... 😇 And bars and live houses are still closed/close early, which are a big part of Koenji's vibe....so hopefully I'll be able to come back again after the ~situation~ is over and go show you guys those too!

    I had a meeting with the head of my academic department this morning to basically decide the entire course of my education moving forward and it was super stressful, and I was so glad I had your video to look forward to when it was done. Now if I could just find one of those melon soda floats, because that looked amazing... Your videos are always so relaxing and this one was especially great. Thanks for the video!

      I hope it went well!!! I'm glad you thought of me 🥺 I admit that I prefer the aesthetic of the melon sodas more than the drink itself though since I don't like carbonated drinks 😅

      @@AllisoninTokyo It honestly went way better than I expected. My major basically allows me to have 3 minors, and I was shocked and pleased that I can make one of them Japanese. I have to cross register with a different local college to do it, but I'm honestly so excited. 🥰 It was still stressful though lol.

    Thanks for another great video! 🙂This is what I love about Tokyo; there's always so much unique stuff to see. Like you said, the interior design of many of these places is amazing. I never really cared much for design or architecture, but after coming to Japan, I really started to appreciate it.
    I would love to see you go to ura Harajuku 🙂 Not just the touristy spots, but the smaller streets that most people never visit.

    • @AllisoninTokyo
      @AllisoninTokyo  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Right, I feel like so many stores here pay way more attention to interior design than I saw in America!!
      And ooh I go to ura hara all the time so I’ll have to definitely do a video on that 😳

    Your video was the perfect pairing with my strawberry cheesecake and tea -break. It doesn't matter that you did not stay that long! If you had not told us we would not even have known that you did not stay there that long. I get that you want to film as much things for content but you must also enjoy yourself aswell during the process. If you are sweating bricks and feel unconmfy than it's better to call it a day and go home ;) Very lovely and chill video, thank you!❤

      Thank you, I’m glad the timing was good 😆 Yeah, summer is a hard time to film with the temperature here hitting 40 these days 🥴 Thank you for understanding 🥺

    Wow. This is great timing. I was just looking into videos on Koenji as a possible place to visit on my future trip to Tokyo. Thanks for reading my mind, Allison! :)

    Loved this vlog! Thank you for taking us along with you to Koenji 😊 I’d love to see Shimokita next, if you’re up for a day there. I missed out on visiting Shimokita last time I was in Japan, but it looks like such a charming place, similar to Koenji.

    • @AllisoninTokyo

    Allison! This is such a cute video! Koenji is one of the areas in Tokyo that I did not manage to visit even while living in Japan couple years ago. As it is for lots of other people my plans to come back were cancelled by covid so I am so happy to be able to see Tokyo through your channel which I think deserves much more views! Keep up the good work

    love all the unique storefronts! i fear i would spend way too much money in that cottagecore store 💸💸💸
    have you been to jiyugaoka? it has lovely shopping streets/alleys, cafes, and a relaxed atmosphere like koenji (or at least it did when i was there a few years ago i don’t know if it’s the same now 😅). there’s also a cute little italy-inspired area

    • @AllisoninTokyo
      @AllisoninTokyo  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The cottagecore stores are dangerous 😭 Ahh yes I've been but I don't think I've vlogged it! I'll have to remember to next time I plan on going there 👩‍💻

    I didn't realize how expensive thrifting could be in Japan until I went to Koenji and I was like... ISN'T THE POINT OF THIS TO SAVE MONEY!? It was still a lot of fun and you can get lucky and find some awesome treasures. But yeah I'll stick with my Liz Lisa and Axes Femme LOL

    • @AllisoninTokyo
      @AllisoninTokyo  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      EXACTLY 😭 thrifting at these stores is soooo expensive I'd rather buy something new for cheaper 😳 the only way to really get good deals is to go to the more "generic" big thrift stores but that's less aesthetic 😂😂
