The story behind the miami ultras video is wild and sand, you can read more detailed about it in a Fader article called "Yung Leans second chance", but the gist is that the multiple outfits he wears represents the characters he adopted while under heavy influence of drugs while visiting america, and one incident landed him in the hospital, and while there, his U.S manager died in a car crash (something Lean felt blame for due to the circumstances that put him in that car)

Ig what they mean when they say you too americanized is that there's a reason these beats you really like come out of these foreign producers and the artists choose to pair it with these types of lyrics - because I guess people who dont listen with that americanized ear like the pairing of those vocals with the beats

you will like Starz. Don't expect another Red Bottom Sky tho (not saying you wont maybe find a new favorite Lean song, it's possible yeah) because let's be honest, it's one of his best songs. But yeah Starz is fun, he experiments with different genres, the song writing is more consistent than on Stranger and the production is better and more interesting. You've reacted to some songs already and u enjoyed them if I remember it well. It's more pop-ish too, in the best way

I don't really like yung leans voice and his rapping is just lazy ruins every bladee song he's featured on for me. I agree most people are just fans of him cause the lore.
Didn’t know anything about him or bladee when I started listening. Still just know what people have said in comments. I think bladee is all trash but lean has loads of beautiful songs.
Yung lean invented a whole genre. His songs are made to deliver a feelin. Not to make you sing a long to a catchy song. He already proved he can make catchy mainstream songs. He don’t wana make that type of music. He focus on improving his sound he already like. And every person that likes his music loves it a billion times more than any kanye, juice wrld, x, the weekend fan.

It was an innocent looking Swedish teenager rapping about mosquito tits and having drugs in the club. He rode the vaporwave trend with his hurt mv
