Hello Nicholas, my name is Bob and I am an old man who is a new artist. I’m about to turn 78 years old and for some reason I have discovered the joy of art in my life. In a constant search now for as much information that I can find to help me become a really good artist/painter I have found your podcast. I love it it’s very easy to understand and I get the cerebral part of it. I have lots of questions for you, but right now I just wanted to let you know that I found you connected with you and I’ll be following you. God bless and merry Christmas.

Hello Bob, best wishes from Australia. What medium do you enjoy? I've been excited to find Art2life and I'd love to share with you Diane Mize on TH-cam. And Oliver Pyle and Sandi Hester. Very talented generous teachers like Nicolas. Best wishes.

Note to self re: shifting from stuckness to flow and intuition: it even happens to someone as experienced and accomplished as Nick! Grateful for your transparency and authenticity, on canvas and on camera. 🙏🏼💗

I just found you... I think this late in life my art process has saved my life. It's given me purpose that i seemed to have lacked before I rediscovered my creative side.
Thanks so much for your work.

This could become your seminal soliloquy Nick. So lovely to listen to your insightful musings as I paint. I really went into the zone. Thanking you for being you.

I got a LOT of insight from this video, Nicholas. I have been an illustrator since about the age of 8 and took your course twice in my 60’s in search of that illusive ‘loosening up’ magic. These experiences of yours, just letting an idea come out of your head and worry about it’s meaning later, made the light come on in my head. I think about the receiving end of what I put down way too much. I see amazing results when I just play but tend to think they are not of interest to anyone but myself.

So appreciate how you confirm my musings which make me feel more confident in my own very humble work

Thank you Nicholas. That is just what I thought yesterday in front of my painting. I guessed it could end into a landscape but it was too easy, too conformist... I had to go beyond, and take some risks ! I turned the side of my canvas ans got to the unknown ! And that ended up much better and way more personal 😊

what you talk of is of course the creative imperative. Yes, the flow state is what it's all about, the lightening rod the brings heaven to earth, as you say to let go of all the reasons you think you are doing art and just become the instrument of that divine intervention. i think I'm just reiterating what you've already said but it helps to hear you say it, thank you.
