They didn't do shit like every year
LVMPD: "We are cracking down on illegal fireworks."
Every neighborhood in Vegas: Boom! Pow! Bang! Shablam! Boom!
They were simply overwhelmed by the amount of illegal fireworks being shot off in the area. Given the numbers in the story, each officer dedicated to fireworks enforcement would have had to personally handle 90+ calls. Which is impossible.
I know exactly how Steve feels. I've reported on ispyfireworks in previous years. I had water hoses primed and ready one year because two men were firing fireworks which were landing sometimes in the dry pines. Another year, a neighbor burned the paint off my car when I discovered a firework on my roof the next day. All years fireworks littered my yard and our street the morning after. The noise was deafening. I now live in an HOA which forbids fireworks. What a relief. Also, I saw a report on the fires. LV should expect this problem to become worse with each year. I hope no one dies from a fire. Maybe LVMP could use drones to spot illegal fireworks? Station a certain number of cars in an area and use the drones to direct them to the house using illegal fireworks.
My neighbors were launching mortars and bloom flowers.
So why are they sold all over town? Makes no sense...My neighbors do fireworks all year long.
There's a different between what is sold legally all over town versus the illegal stuff people bring in from Moapa and Pahrump
Mortors are not sold in the city. They are gotten from reservations which sell them. Reservations have diffrent laws.
Snitches.
🤷♂️🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
LVMPD didn't do much to stop 🛑 it
Their main focus is on fireworks instead of getting all them junkies and shit driver's off the street..😂
Just a virtual hall of complaints for the Dems to ignore. LOL
I was popping bottle rockets all night
No mixed messages, it’s about citizens paying a fine or a fun fee. How about allowing all fireworks at a designated location(s) where fire & police can monitor for safety. Nothing wrong with one night of Freedom.
