Beignets with powdered sugar and chicory coffee these are so good. this must be what being in heaven must feel like . i made so many of these when i worked at a Cajun restaurant i can make them in my sleep happy fat Tuesday
I have no funny comment because finding out that Natalie managed to be in Cafe du Monde dressed in black without getting any powdered sugar on her has revealed that she is the ruler of the universe and we must bow down accordingly. Also didn't know you were from NOLA! I lived there for a while myself so wild to think we may have been there at the same time without knowing. I can't beat your powdered sugar story but I did meet Bill Clinton at Cafe du Monde once so at least there's that. *heads off singing "Mardi Gras mambo mambo mambo..."*
I was born in NOLA but we moved away when I was really young. But my mom was born and raised in NOLA and made sure I always considered it where I was from. -N

Those look so good! I've seen that mix and the chicory coffee at World Market before, but never tried them. And I'm impressed by the Cafe Du Monde sign; are you going to leave it up for a while?

I LOVE THAT MIX! I made beignets a few months ago and they came out great! This makes me want to make them again. Great video! Also I think I used two spoons to baste the oil. I wanna try putting chocolate inside them and then frying them.
