You're lucky. All we had in the Yukon was Anne Murray in 1974 in our high school. But, total respect to her. At least she came when no-one else could be bothered. Nothing wrong with your cat being slow in reverse. Even Caterpillar only had 3 speeds and nobody ran it in 3rd anyway, it killed the undercarriage. Only cat I ran with more speeds was an old International td7 and that was a drag racer when the boss wasn't around! The most insane had to be an old cable blade D7 1940 or so model, used to build the Alaska Hwy in 1942 by the US army that somehow found its way to Dawson and used for gold mining ever since. No down pressure on the blade and manual transmission that would stop the machine every time you tried to shift up! Fun days and miss them like hell.

The condenser mic on your iPhone really picks up metallic sounds, so I could really hear the reverse spur gear when you back up. It reminds me of my creeper/ reverse gear on my 1990 Dodge Ram NP-435 trans. OK, My Dad used to have a small gas powered Case dozer to move snow at his house. He had about 200 feet of driveway and that little Case was perfect. Great video. Thank you . ben/ michigan

Dear KoO, here in Wisconsin we don't get as much snow as in "wilderness Alaska otherwise known as Northern Manitoba." I still have issues with where to push the snow. I use my old Bobcat 530 when the snow is wet and heavy because otherwise it just plugs the blower. Even though I push the snow as far as I can off the edge of the sidewalks and drive I still run out of room late winter. Last year it took me three days to clear the 16" storm we had. It will be fun to see the Linn tractors driving into trees because they don't steer. Hopefully the hydraulic steering will work better. We must be "Whovilles sister village because they hate me here. I had to audacity to complain when the raised the street 18" above my drive pushing the rain and melt water toward my house. I ended up running all my down spouts underground and into the storm sewer at my expense. They offered my $7,000 to help the problem but I would have had to give up any future claims. I told them what to do with their ( my ) money. Oh well, it's all we can expect. Thanks for the videos!😊

King Joey, when my father was stationed in Greenland. He told me that at night they would draing the oil from the oshkosh trucks to help heating cold parts the next morning. Does starting cold hurt the cats transmission because lack of oiling ?😮
back then oil was tar and did not flow. now a simple 15/40 flows at any temperature plus has a coating that will leave a film till oil arrives from the oil pump. modern day improvements are great as long as it does not have a computer thansk

Here in USA.where I am the county does favors for farmers. Plowing snow and not charging them. The city uses their backhoe for contractors the farmers use the school bus to go fencing I think people are tired of the good old voice system. And when they get caught, they get mad.

Here along the St. Laurence in east Ontario gas is between $1.40 and $1.54 a liter.
