My mum took me to see Hamilton for my birthday this year; she ordered the tickets literally the second the second batch went on sale in the UK. It was AMAZING. So much so that I jokingly said to her today about seeing it again, and she was really up for it!
"I'm only 19 but my mind is older" -- that's a reference to "Shook Ones" by Mobb Deep. The same instrumental used in the famous 8 Mile battle rap sequence at the end. And that is only one of many Hip Hop references throughout the entire show, another huge one (the most obvious to real Hip Hop fans) was the Ten Dual Commandments which is of course tipping the cap to "Ten Crack Commandments" by Biggie Smalls aka the Notorious BIG. You can tell Lin-Manuel's a huge fan of hip hop, specifically like 90s hip hop where there was a HUGE emphasis on lyricism and your ability to write well. I still don't know what gave him the idea to take that and the story of freaking Alexander Hamilton and translate it through rap music though. But it's one of the most genius ideas of the last decade if not longer and it's gonna be something that will likely be around for a long, long time to follow.

I'm spanish, here "mucho mucho texto" is a meme and we use it when someone writres a Big paragraph, but its no sense to use it in an english video, sorry xD.
@@worldofwarpool5379 Oh, I see. Well for English speaking videos people end up saying like "Holy wall of text" or something similar but it has a negative connotation usually. Another one is "TL;DR" which is "Too long; didn't read". Or "Nice essay" stuff like that. Which honestly is funny to me because a long comment is just a long comment, it's far from an essay though. Makes me wonder what other essays people who say such things have ever read in their lives.
