I live a few minutes from Downtown, and every other weekend I visit, it blows my mind. I get lost because I can't recognize familiar spots anymore, they're always adding something new that 'throws me off'. Dugan is knocking it out the park, and I will say it, he is the BEST mayor this country has ever seen, and likely will ever see, in all of America's history. People are forcing him to stay in office to his grave, he's that outstanding and efficient. It goes to show just how powerful politics and policies can build or destroy entire cities. It's impact is significant. There are some things you mentioned I didn't even know about, like the expansion of the riverwalk which everyone was already very happy with, now, with this greenspace expansion, it will make this riverwalk legendary and solidify it is the countries best and will soon become a tourist attraction in itself. It's "almost" there, but not quite. This expansion will make it noteworthy. Downtown has a lot of everything to do. You can walk down a random street and find something new you hadn't seen before, a new bar, restaurant, dentist office, shoe store, art space, music venue. Detroit pride in full effect! Oh, and I've been bumping into state foregieners recently. It's becoming a hot spot for out-of-staters to come to detroit to explore. For years, I'd be embarresed to say, "I'm from Detroit", now, I can say, "I'm from DETROIT!

I'm rly glad that Detroit is doing a lot to bring itself out of the turmoil that it's been in. They rly should be developing around the area the new west riverfront centennial park. Like more affordable house new restaurants, more pedestrianized, and etc.
It's nice but it was voted that because it was a USA Today poll which is owned by Gannett, which also owns the Free Press so there were mostly Michigan voters and none from places with great riverwalks like San Antonio.
I’m glad the Hudson will be done. Time for something else to focus on. Maybe more towers being built. Maybe not another skyscraper or skyscrapers. But more mini towers. Would love to see more in Midtown!

@@calwayne9070 Co ops are terrible for investments, because of all the restrictions, and difficulty to finance.

Lots of exciting things are coming to that area for sure as well.
Dennis Archer Jr is not the former Mayor. He is the former Mayor’s son. That’s important to note.
Two on screen corrections:
1) Grand CIRCUS Park
2) The Residences @ 150 BAGLEY

Where can I go to find more about upcoming developments in Detroit.
It’s going to all really search based, but Crains Detroit is a good resource
urbanized detroit is also a good site. detroit.urbanize.city/
also, i live very close to the united artist redevelopment and i really cant see it being ready by anytime before late 2024. excited for it though.
Yeah sometimes these timeines get skewed, but who knows! 10 months is a long time in construction.
Hey, question, can you give me info on how if?
I can possibly get an application. Apply for the apartment at 150 Bagley.
