Thanks very much for the video - really clear instructions. Saved me a call out and the old machine lives on so much appreciated. My model required removing the top button panel to expose a couple more screws holding in the front panel, but not too much bother. Left bottom panel off until testing done so could see if any leakage below.
Thank you so much. Nice video that made it easy for me to change the door seal on my 15+ yr old Siemens Siwamat XLS 1650. I have never done something like this before.
Best video on here regarding replacing the door seal (mine is a Bosch classixx 1000). The cleaning of the drum and door took longer than the seal removal and replacement. Thanks for posting the vid.
How long machine was used before replacement, and did you notice kinda small leaking right at 6 o clock right under the door. Checking inside I dod not find any seal damage, so not sure whether seal was not flat to the door anymore due to chemicals (detergent) and hot water exposure. Thanks!
This was really useful. I tried without taking the door off. That didn't work. The screaming I did... Taking the door of made it so much more easier. Thanks a million. All the way from the Netherlands.
This video was very helpful for me because it gave me the idea of why I didn't succeed at the first try. The reason was that I needed another hand to support when installing the retainer spring :-)
Thanks a lot! Clear instructions. Only essential words spoken. Amazing!

Thank you! This worked perfectly. Pro tip: to put the spring in the groove easily, have a 6 year old hold it in place with its tiny hands, while you go around putting it in place. Little helpers ftw!
Thank you for these very clear instructions - it's an easy job once somebody tells you exactly how to do it. The instructions matched my machine exactly.
Hi, May I take up a little of your time to ask you a question please? I ordered a gasket for my Siemens WXLM148AUK/19 washing machine. The one that arrived had a little tube coming down from the top which I don't think mine has, (not got it fully off yet as something else cropped up that I had to deal with first). My model was listed on the seller's site so I ordered from them. I have contacted the seller and he say's that TWO gaskets were made for that model of machine. I have done some investigation and as yet I have not managed to find info that the gasket with the tube will fit my model. I do not want to try fitting it if it's the wrong one and I have to change it. Did they really make two gaskets for the WXLM148AUK/19 ? Thank you in advance if you can help. :)
Jax Lancaster unfortunately they did make 2, one had a direct opening from the soap housing, you’ll need to find the other one and let them know to change the info on the website
@@servisslimline Thanks very much for your quick reply. I have now got the gasket off and the old one has definitely not got the tube on. Contacted the seller and he say's he will not exchange but I can return it to him. He left a link to the correct gasket but it is approximately £6.00 dearer. I don't think he will alter the info. Back to square one but thanks for your help, so many do not bother to reply, I appreciate that you did. :)
Does someone happen to know how to change the door hinge for the iq700 Siemens (about 5 years old) washing machine? There aren't any screws to be removed in the door.
Thank you for this video. It was very helpful. However, you seem to forget putting back in the screws you took out between 2:00 and 2:50? At 7:36 there is a repetition of the part that also started at 7:02, perhaps this is where the part of screwing them back in got lost.
Any ideas on how to get the damned shock absorber off of one of these? There’s a plastic pin through the top that I just can’t figure out how to remove!
Tomek Morawa Hi, unfortunately on these Bosches the pin that holds the dampers in is part of the outer plastic drum so you would have to remove and split the drum unit. I’m pretty sure however there was a modification where you could drill the hole/shaft out and fit a 13mm nut and bolt in its place to hold the new ones in. Good luck!
The Laundry Centre yes! Lol. That’s what I started to do and figured I’d buy a bolt and stick it through there! Thank you for the response. I appreciate it.
Excellent instructions, just saved myself a £100 service call out fee and the job was very straightforward, Cheers!
Excellent description! Thank you.

Thank you for taking the time to make the video and post it. Really straightforward. My seal is a bit tight but I imagine that will ease with time.
very useful video! thank you!

Great video thank you. The band and ring fitting was tricky - and needed pliers to pull down on the ring wire and a helper to keep wire on
Your video saved me dude! I was I over my head! All sorted now though thanks to your video!
Great instructions, a complete demonstration of job, very happy
Amazed I did it, all by myself! Thank you for the video :)
Thankyou so much for this video. It saved my time and money
Video is excellent. I changed the door seal on a Bosch classixx machine very easily and I'm rubbish at DIY!
George Gow happy it helped!
Excellent job
Thank you so much. Amazing tutorial ✌

is this the same for a siemens extraklasse
Depends on the range

You may have to remove from behind, take the front of the seal off or the lid off and see if you can see anything
Thanks
and what should i do if they are leaks? repeat the whole procedure ?
fruitcake4t if it leaks after fitting a new seal then it’s either not fitted properly or the leak is from somewhere else

I realise, there was an editing error

Tomek Morawa Not a problem 😊
I see no point in the gloves, but otherwise very very good :)
gloves are great idea since there are quite sharp industrial pressings inside a machine. anti-cut gloves are great
