Being an American who loves Dutch Hardstyle, I have always felt alone in my desire and passion for this music. (Like a man wandering in the desert in search of something to sate his thirst.) I went to Qlimax 2017 from the USA on a last stitch effort to find purpose and fulfillment in my life. I spent money I did not have on plane tickets, took a loan from a friend to buy tickets to the event and to stay at the QLIMAX Hotel for the duration of my time in the Netherlands. I finally went to this event that I had dreamed of going to year after year since I initially fell in love with Hardstyle 10 years ago. Needless to say if you have watched the live sets from QLIMAX 2017, this was one for the books. I finally felt at home with my family of 25,000 people who had come to the Gelredome that night for the same reason I had. I danced until my feet bled and body ached in appreciation for this music and for what QLIMAX represents. Everyone has their favorite Hardstyle producers, and all those who played that special evening contributed to the most amazing night of my life, but this set from D-Block & S-Te-Fan was a special set for me that allowed me to fulfill what I initially set out to accomplish by going to QLIMAX. My thanks goes out to Q-Dance for making this QLIMAX 2017 experience something I will cherish for the rest of my life. Thank you. And for all of those Americans who have not yet made their pilgrimage to the Temple of Hardstyle, I urge you to not hesitate. Go and allow yourself to be purified by this ritual and dance into the early morning. Open your soul and immerse yourself in a sea of your brothers and sisters. Be baptized by the fire which fuels your passions and desires. But ultimately go to pay homage to this music that has shaped and changed your life, and give thanks to those select individuals from which this music comes.

what I love about qdance festivals like defqon, qlimax, etc is that unlike other festivals, the audience almost always knows the melodies 8:52 is an example
