While I need to clarify up front that I'm not sticking up for politicians here, these draft regulations aren't produced in Congress, but within the ATF itself. In other words, it's administrators, not the politicians, against whom your ire should be directed here. To be fair, the senior post holders do have to have their positions confirmed by Congress, so they do need to take *some* of the blame, but this really isn't their party (no pun intended!).

What difference does it make?? They don't care about the law it's self,
because at the end of the Day, if they come to your house to rip the
Guns from your own hands, & show up with Military action against you??
They won't need a Gun Law to do so...
All they need is a word: "We're Coming For Your Guns"
      kinda word...
You might be willing to fight a Government barging into your house,
but that don't mean your neighbors are gonna want to help defend you,
especially if the Government is after you, not them, & they might be
at risk themselves next, if they intervine...

I got this reason off the gov website: "• Enhances public safety by reducing the criminal use of such firearms, which are easily concealable from the public and first responders." Criminals aren't going to give up their braces, are they? Removing the pistol brace makes the pistol even more concealable, so it's not really a feature in that regard.

If I was on charge id give.thwm a warning. could be a pretty cool showdown with the group fighting/evading waves of undead and dwarven snipers as they try to warn the government of the conspiracy to coup, the best part is that it's just ridiculous enough that, if you wanted, you could have nobody believe the group setting up a bigger/crazier problem down the road

Commentary that was submitted to the ATF:
"Any and all changes must be passed through Congress. The ATF does not have governing powers and is only to be used as an "errand boy" agency for decisions made by Congress. Congress does not have authority to violate rights of people or their persons, or to violate or legislate anything that is abhorrent to the Constitution of these United States of America. The ATF therefore has no decision making authority when it comes to any standards or other legislative matters. Also the ATF is far more restricted by natural human rights and the US Constitution than is stated about Congress. Thank you for understanding the above, and remembering that you are my servants, is key to not being disbanded or all personnel fired because I feel unsafe with you as an agent(s). That being said I appreciate you coming to work as much as you do, even if I don't approve of your abilities to safely serve me."

But the idea of a line in the sand is laughable given how many have been crossed so many times while we refuse to disturb our tranquility with holding the violators of our supreme law accountable. Those in authority who violate the source of their authority repudiate their authority ergo have no authority. ANY G-man that violates the Constitution loses all their authority.

my email to my senator and congressman: The ATF with its new definitions of what makes a pistol brace legal is in direct violation of the law stating the ATF cannot change definitions on firearms and accessories , that has to be done by congress and the senate. ALL of Congress and the Senate need to reign in this rouge agency and make them comply with the law. for those that don't, know that all the law abiding gun owners across The US will be watching and seeing which members of both houses do in this situation and VOTE ACCORDINGLY, we are sick and tired of these members sitting back and letting crap like this slide, you work to protect our God given rights, do your job.
And also the appointment of David Chipman to head the ATF cannot happen he is a radical anti-gunner and his "assault" weapon definition covers pretty much every sporting rifle in existence including a child's Ruger 10-22. his being involved with both Waco and the fast and furious scandals should of automatically barred him from appointment.
The ATF needs to be made to follow the law, their new "definitions" point system for pistol braces makes nearly every rifle caliber pistol brace currently owned by law abiding citizens THAT WAS PREVIOUSLY APPROVED BY THE ATF an illegal item and a felony to possess. example having any type of brace on your pistol and flip up sights makes your pistol into a SBR, felony to possess without a NFA tax stamp.if you put a light, sling and red dot optic on your pistol and it makes it over 110 ounces, bam its now an SBR and a felony. this crap needs to be stopped and stopped now. clear definitions need to be made and adhered to, not oh we can change our minds whenever we want, pistol braces or hell even a stock on a rifle caliber pistol don't make it any more lethal or any of that BS, it actually would make it harder to conceal which is what they should really be worried about.
and when you respond, I want your exact opinion on this situation. not some generic form letter that a staff member writes saying thank you for your concern on this issue blah blah blah. I want to know what you plan to do about it.
Don't be a Rhino, We The People are getting rid of them this election cycle.

In one way this could be a blessing . If the GOA sues after the rules goes into effect, they could get the NFA, either the short barreled rifle clause or the NFA act itself overturned. I think the chances that lawyers could find a text and history excuse for the rules highly unlikely under Bruen. As for the changes, Disabled Veterans would be highly effective spokespersons at the capital and every local TV news show against it.

As it stands now, the BATFE can just bypass Congress and do whatever the hell they feel like doing - actual laws be damned. Imagine if your local Sheriff could decide to come up with laws on the fly and enforce them as he sees fit. No one would stand for it. We shouldn't stand for it with the BATFE. Yupp, pretty outrages.. Any SB Tactical brace, on an adjustable buffer tube. Is basically at 6 points from the beginning group, an they even sell a brace adjustment limiter.. So if they were to enforce this "rule," anyone not wanting to register their firearm as an sbr. Would have to either just install and use the "short pistol buffer tubes." With a little padding around it, which will get you acouple points lol.. An you can get the "non adjustable braces," that you could basically throw on and off in a second if it was needed. But not keeping it on regularly, as to not violate any rules that are "unlawful."
Or you can just have the adjustable buffer tube, an take the brace off. An I guess maybe I misunderstood the rule on vertical foregrip, angled grips and hand stops.. They talk about a "vertical foregrip" as being 90° perpendicular to the barrel, which would get you 4 points. But if a angles "grip" or hand stop is 4 points, then that would be anything and everything aside from a little hand stop bump. Which is STILL 2 points, sodepending on what else that is grouped with in "accessories." Your over on points, I'm pretty sure anything on the firearm makes it over weight.
Am wth so they mean any sight that allows or works with one handed shooting, when every other rule they are proposing is to prevent 2 handed use. To I thought encourage 1 handed use, an yet that rule is stating it shouldn't work with 1 handed firing..? WHAT ?
"Presence of a scope or sight with eye relief, an capable of one handed firing.."
Idk what they mean by "eye relief," but do they want people using one hand or 2 lol.. It's pretty much just them trying to make the point that, it's not a pistol.
An of course the whole point is not even to go after just what they think should be registered as short barrel rifles or AR pistols, it's to force people into registering and tracking firearms. It's basically either pay the tax and register or an excuse to say people are breaking the law, to take the Right's away from as many people as possible. As they attempt to further restrict and confiscate firearms.

  • @liz9284
    @liz9284 3 ปีที่แล้ว

When Trump talked about banning bump stocks Sessions was the AG at the time and the DOJ initiated the ban. However, according to the NFA and other regulations already on the books, the ATF (or AFT…can’t remember now…) does not have the authority to regulate “firearm parts or accessories”, so the fact that they’re trying to do that here is a lot bigger than just the ridiculousness we read in the proposal itself, it means that a federal law enforcement agency now has the ability to make ppl criminals without congress, which Brandon already mentioned but it bears repeating, and deny us to right to be represented in congress. Ppl already tolerate executive order sprees that treat congress like it’s nothing more than a gaudy hood ornament, so it’ll be interesting to see where the line is-what’s “too far” for ppl. There’s one thing I can say for sure-this crap is incremental, and ppl suck at fighting incrementalism. By the time they realize they’ve been losing ground for decades it’s already too late, so every inch matters. It’s ALL crucial. But these jackwagons in government know that, so they start with “small things” that won’t get ppl riled up too much. I guarantee most gun owners out there are thinking “it’s just a pistol brace, so who cares? It’s not that big of a deal.” Inaccurate, it’s a huge deal. It’s not “what” these regulations will ban necessarily, that’s not the point, it’s the authority it grants to federal agencies to stomp on our rights bc the ppl we elect can’t do it directly, its a conflict of interest for sure when the cops can determine what makes someone a criminal, and it’s a loophole to get around legislation. Don’t want to require masks in your business and there’s no mandate? Ok then, we’ll send the health inspectors to shut you down. It’s not the “government” passing legislation to deprive you of your rights, it’s those ppl over there. Want to capture rain water from your own property for irrigation? Nope, the EPA decided that was a detriment to lakes and rivers so you can’t do that now either. The government has bypassed the legislative process-the process by which all Americans are represented in their government-for a long time now and it just keeps getting worse bc ppl don’t understand that everything matters, not just what personally effects them. What gets me the most is that ppl will throw a tantrum when the government wants to ban sugary drinks “because health costs”, but remain silent when it comes to shit like this. The silent majority better cultivate a backbone and pick up a mic, and they’d better do it soon, because this particular regulation is nothing-just a stepping stone.
