Love this video its so relatable. I’m in my first year doing an English lang and Linguistics degree. Your essay back and forth progress and self deprecating humour is the student mood.

Hey Jack, I cannot begin to describe how deeply I felt that when you said you were basically freezing up because the essay counted to your degree - I'm graduating this July and the only thing I've come up with to get past the freeze is to like write a crazy detailed plan, like bullet pointing every single sentence, including quotes and specific points then you basically just put it into legit sentences and you're balling
There was a lot of pathetic fallacy with that essay, the chair collapsing, the rain
Doesn’t take an english lit degree to know that it’s not looking good for me
I'm feeling so inspired to better my life now just by that intro

Spent all day at the library being hella productive, listened to the Wooden Spoon on my commute home, got pizza and drinks at my friends whilst we cried over Jorja Smith and the 1975 winning at the Brits and now I'm watching this before bed for another productive day tomorrow! I love my past self for taking care of the future before even finishing A-Levels, now I'm all into A-Level exams and I'm so calm since everything concerning uni is already sorted out (I'm going to study business information technology with a specialised module of software development with the BMW Group) I'm so grateful for this opportunity, hard work really pays off!

I go to school in Durham and always wondered whether I’d bump into Jack and the other day I walked past him in the street and did a massive double take. I didn’t want to bother him though he looked in a hurry and I was too nervous, but it really made my day! Loved this video Jack:) makes me excited to visit Durham in March! I noticed that you've got a whiteboard in your flat with jobs and stuff on it and was thinking that a video on how you delegate jobs in your house/ diffuse domestic-related issues between you and your housemates would be interesting to see:) I know I'm worried about putting pressure on my friendships when I move in with people because of mood swings and seeing people alottt etc :') xx
Next time you don't have a fork, use a washed mini ruler. I was at the library and forgot my fork or spoon and was coincidentally eating pasta. I washed it in the restroom with hand soap and then ate with a ruler. a few weird looks here and there, but hey, it worked!

Hiya Jack, I’m off to Uni this September, and I’ve got this really stupid worry. Obviously you have to be quick with note-taking in lectures, so a laptop is this obvious choice. Buttttt, there are limits to what I can do on a laptop (eg I can’t jot down a mind map or something) so I was thinking about taking notes on my phone or an iPad with one of those little keyboards which would leave room on my dwarf desk for a notepad too. What are your thoughts? Thanks so much

Also I have a song recommendation for you it's "ain't it fun" from paramore. I think it fits really well in that whole topic and it is a song that always cheers me up. The song lyrics is basically ain't it fun living in the real world. Everytime I hear it I'm thankful and grateful for living in the real world and experiencing all good and bad things and I'm happy with the opportunites out of the failure/rejection. Maybe you would enjoy it aswell😊
