My red 2001 Ford Ranger Edge 4 x 4 has been a trusty companion for nearly 20 years. May of 2023 will be our 20 years. It has been a faithful and dependable "work horse" with many adventures and helping people along the way. Just turned 377,000 miles. Unfortunately, the Michigan winters, hitting 2 deer and one road rager hitting me has taken its toll on the ole boy. The 4.0L engine has been remarkable after all these years. One starter replaced along with one alternator/and belt along with 2 tune-ups is all I've had to do. Hoping to get 400,000 miles before he's retired. All in all, I've enjoyed this truck and have so many fond memories of good times along the way. While being a homeless Veteran for sometime after 2012, he provided me with shelter and a place to sleep and be safe. I hope to find me another used Ford Ranger but money is tight these days. Thank you Ford Motor Company and its employees for building a wonderful and dependable piece of American automotive machinery. Respectfully from a Marine Corps Vietnam Era Veteran (1971-1975).

I have 2001 edge 4.0 ... 170 thousand miles. It use to look just like this truck, now not so much. But I still freaking love it.

Our nephew has a Ford Ranger Edge, super cab, regular 6’ bed 4X4 with a 4.0 V6. He’s got 120K miles and it runs perfectly.
He’s jealous that our 11 XLT super cab 4.0 V6 4X4 only has 35K original miles.
I’m sure after we’re dead and gone he’ll be getting it

I have a 2003 Ranger Edge same colour and engine , but mine is a fleet side not a step side . And I have a factory tonneau cover that makes for better fuel economy and weight distribution .

A lot of rust, but I Love the step side body style.
It’s not what I need for a working truck.
Did Ford ever make a Step Side Ranger with a regular cab?

I get people from all over the country coming to look and buy. They would be very upset if I didn’t honestly represent the vehicle prior to them making the trip.
Also, I sold this one to a judge. I better be honest!
Thanks for the comment and constructive criticism though. Always looking to improve :)
