I’ve been enjoying Alice Feeney. I loved Good Bad Girl. Seems like we have similar reading taste. Sending love and 🍁Fall🌳🍂vibes from north Alabama RTR 🐘 🌊
The Extraordinary Deaths of Mrs. Kip was by far my best book of the month and possibly the year. I laughed and I cried, oh it was SOOO good! The faith content was top notch and the story was beautiful! I wish I could reread it again for the first time. I was not prepared for this one!
It sounds like you had a lot of enjoyable reads in August. That's a bummer about Wisteria. I know you were highly anticipating it. I DNF'd Smile Beach Murder. It started out too dark for me so I decided to put it down early on. Maybe too early since a lot of readers enjoyed it. Hinds Feet on High Places sounds interesting. I'd like to give it a try at some point. My favorite reads in August were No Paw To Stand On by Laurie Cass, A Cup of Flour, A Pinch of Death by Valerie Burns, and the Amulet graphic novel series by Kazu Kibuishi (I re-read the first 8 books to get to book 9 published earlier this year. I had such an amazing time getting back into this world). I loved all of these series and recommend them!
I get that about Smile Beach Murder! It is a little darker than your typical cozy. Yes, please try Hinds Feet! It is absolutely beautiful. I read all the Amulet books except the newest, so I really need to go back to them too! 💕
@@ABookLikeYou Based on what you've said about graphic novels and middle grade you've liked, I think you will like the ending to the Amulet series. I can't wait to hear what you think when you pick it up! 😻
Agent 355 is a short story about a real-life, nameless, woman in history who bravely spied on the British and reported her findings to George Washington’s men. We will never know exactly what happened to her. The record books only list her as Agent 355. Author, Marie Benedict, wants the world to learn about the brave women who helped America thrive through many different conflicts. I have heard from other readers who love this author. Ms. Benedict has moved onto my Favorite Author’s list. I have already purchased another book by her and will read it as soon as September Series is over.
I'm not trying to be critical, but this video & the last couple of yours have been really hard to hear. I've got the volume turned up as high as it will go & the ads are really loud but then when you come back on, your voice is rather soft. I'm not sure it's anything you can control, but I just thought I'd let you know. You have great videos & I really enjoy them!
I loved the brave little toaster!
I’m so glad you read and liked Smile Beach Murder!! I really liked that one too 🩷
I didn’t love Dear Mr Henshaw either and was surprised with how highly it’s recommended.

I own that one! It’s actually going to be a book pick for people to vote on for Revive in January. 🤭
@@ABookLikeYou well that is the one I will be picking! I need to see if that author has any more books because I am a fan!
One of my favorites that I’ve read this year.
The way my jaw DROPPED when you said Wisteria was a disappointment 🫢
😅😅😅 me and Yvette buddy read it and both were. I think she gave it a 3?
My favorite this month was Sisters of Corinth by Angela Hunt, Biblical fiction. One of my 5 stars. Wonderful audio. ✝️
