Notice the quality of the writing does not seem to be commensurate with the limited , repetitive, language used by the student speaker suggesting that all letters were written by a national justice for palestine group as part of their playbook. What a waste of time and poor use of college resources. Who will these colleges be admitting into their programs. And, how many of the people protesting truly understand history beyond the past 5 years, And what institution is this young man talking about? Has no idea. Good heavens.
Since when is condemning terrorism "not creating a welcoming environment"? It seems the same students making such complaints wouldn't have a problem with the university president if he condemned Israel instead. Case has a large proportion of both its student body and its faculty who are Jewish, some students, at least while I was a graduate student there, hold dual US-Israeli citizenship. The rhetoric from the pro-Hamas students is divisive, and while quick to blame Israel for their actions, refuse to acknowledge that Hamas even did anything wrong because they're supposedly fighting against Gaza being occupied and somehow this legitimizes terrorism, including the beheading of infants and children, an act of utter depravity.
And these same college students also have missed some other memo's. On the reasons why Gaza is an open air prison. There has been a reason for it. And Hamas didn't just murder Israeli's....they murdered citizens of other countries as well. They went to that 'function' knowing full well people from all over the world would be attending it, and they didn't care. Didn't matter if they were German, American, Russian, Chinese, Israeli...none of it mattered. And these same foolish kids are in for a rude awakening if they think for a second they would be spared in a similiar attack. Siding with Hamas wouldn't spare them being set on fire alive for a second.🙄
Something we don't see at trade schools. Students are busy learning a trade.
Good on the President of Case Western for defending the truth and Jewish students.
If students do not like it - then leave. pack your bags, drop your classes and go. bye!
Ikr?
Kudos to the President of Case Western for standing up for the truth.
