    Thanks for the review. I am currently producing a docuseries exploring the Basque Country in Spain all via e-bike. We needed one more reliable with greater range than what we had. I was looking at the x26… but as far as I know, its motor is not road legal in Spain due to it being over 250 watts. So, even though I had seen this E26 before on the Engwe site, I never gave it a lot of thought… until this video. Thanks so much. It may be just the bike for our series.

      You should also check out the latest P275 PRO which I will also review soon. It's a completely new tech from ENWGE and should be outstanding, it's also 100% EU legal, here are more details: tinyurl.com/p8xrx7kn

      @@TechTronic9000 Yes, I saw this new release from Engwe (P275 Pro). However, it only supports grades/inclines of up to 10% which is not sufficient for some of the mountain roads we need to traverse here in the Basque Country. The E26 however, supports grades/inclines up to 30% with its nm at 70 (I think you said). Plus, you also mentioned, just buy an extra battery and double the autonomy. With an extra battery in my bag, Ive got up to 280 km - which is more than enough.

    So nice review man! Incredible how much you care and thanks for sharing so much information!
    Is really useful for me and I think after seeing that I decided already to buy this bike.
    I am only sorry you didn't show how is this bike climbing a hill. To go to my job I have like 2 km 20% up hill. Do you think this bike is able to climb this? I am 110 kg.
    And is this bike fully legal in EU? Why the Engine X has a certificate on the website and a sticker on the bike but this model doesn't?
    Thanks a lot for your help! Now you earned another follower! 🙏🏾

    • @TechTronic9000
      @TechTronic9000  2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The bike is rated for ramps up to 30° so in theory it can climb ramps of up to 58%, but that is usually a nominal rating for 65kg rider, 25°C outside temperature, tires inflated at maximum PSI, etc. Still it will probably cope going uphill if you also pedal. As for the certificate, you can mail ENGWE offiail support and I think that they can send you an EU certificate for the E26 as well.

    11-34 freewheels and 53t chainrings on my Engine Pro, Engine X and M20 resolved the ghost peddling on my Engwe Ebikes. I fully agree about them listening, hopefully this will continue.

    Thanks for the review. Any comments on the step-thru version of this bike vs high-step one ? Any preference or it’s purely style from your point of view ? The tires have inner tubes?

    • @TechTronic9000
      @TechTronic9000  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      First of all the step-through is probably much more better for normal easy city usage where you stop and start a lot. I prefer the high-step one for it's geometry, looks and sturdier frame.

    Hey man, great review!I watched it before my bike arrived. I have a small question tho. I've unlocked the throttle, it was untill 25km/h, but I wanted to try to increase the limit. I've set it at the maximum 63km/h(just to see and try it out), but after that the bike stopped showing me km/h... It stays on 00:00 even when I'm using the throttle. Everything works but you can't see the numbers changing. I think I did something in the menu. Do you habe an idea what?

    Thank you for your video! Are you in Europe, because Engwe does not put a sticker on the frame of these bikes verifying that they have a CE verification. That means they are not legal in the EU or?

    • @TechTronic9000
      @TechTronic9000  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Yes, I am from Europe. To abide the law the bike needs to be limited to 25km/h assisted mode only and not ow have throttle working. All of that can be set up.

    • @mandarello
      @mandarello 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      For me, that is clear, but the CE certificate needs to be on the bike in case of police controle, if not, you would be riding a bike that is ilegal?@@TechTronic9000

    More like the *_short-range lumbering ox,_* but I get it. The perfect ebike for those who will seldom ride.

    • @TechTronic9000
      @TechTronic9000  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not really an ox as i often find myself when riding this bike being able to push it faster than the selected assisted mode, such as doing 26-28km/h when the assistance is set at 25km/h. Even with the fat tires, it has low rolling resistance and the motor doesn't have any drag when it not working. This vastly improves range and enables you do do long rides.

  • @johnsouthwales1078
    @johnsouthwales1078 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Nice bike.. maybe i would prefer a normal bike with 24 gears and motor so it be easier to ride after the 15.5 mph (25 kmph) cut off and no resistance

    • @TechTronic9000
      @TechTronic9000  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can set it at 25km/h and then it will cut out. The motor has a one way clutch so has no drag or resistance when you are pedaling without it.

    I need to comment this: I have the E26 and no, it has NOT a CE sticker on the bike and therefore it is not street legal in the EU! There may be a CE certificate online but for the police only the CE Sticker counts.

    • @TechTronic9000
      @TechTronic9000  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      I don't know from which part of the EU you are , but what you say it's nonsense. I'm also from the EU and here the police will ask you for a certificate with bike model and brand emitted by the factory. Anyone can put a CE sticker, it's no brainer. If that is your problem just don't buy it, it's not like someone is forcing you, or just buy the CE sticker, it costs 0.99$ on AliExpress.

    • @Phil-fe4qw

      At least in Germany It really is mandatory to have a CE Sticker on the Bike. There are also informations on it Like max Speed, max Watt, max weight etc.

      @@TechTronic9000I haven't heard that ce sticker before for recognition. Normally the wattage on the hub is sufficient... the only issue that could arise is if someone is caught riding at 16 mph with assist on. Who will recognise the difference between legal 15.5 mph or illegal 16 mph when pedaling.
      It would be different if doing 20 mph with assist on but somebody could be just pedalling 20 mph with assist off, so they would not question it.
      If somebody was doing 30 mph in UK with full assist and throttle, then they may think that doesn't look right.
      If the police stop the bike after 30mph, they could look at the bike computer, also look at the hub. They may just give advice rather than sieze it.

    • @johnsouthwales1078
      @johnsouthwales1078 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It be like the CE sticker on something like a totally electric appliance such as a battery operated hedge trimmer.
      I guess because technically the bike can be pedalled manually it wouldn't need one. See your point though
