  • Chancellor Rachel Reeves has given a speech on growth in Oxfordshire.
Towards the end of her speech, Ms Reeves declared her support for a "badly needed" third runway at Heathrow Airport in a much-anticipated announcement.
She says a third runway could increase potential GDP by 0.43% by 2050 and create more than 100,000 jobs.

Factually incorrect from the first statement. There are numerous runways built since the 1940's
    Manchester Airport's Runway 2 (23L/05R)
    Opened in 2001
    3,050 meters (10,006 feet) long
    Fully constructed from scratch
    London Stansted Airport's Runway (04/22)
Rebuilt and extended in the 1980s
    Now 3,048 meters (10,000 feet)
    London City Airport Runway (10/28)
    Constructed in 1987
1,508 meters (4,948 feet) (not extremely long but purpose-built)
    Farnborough Airport's Runway
    Completed in 2003
    2,608 meters (8,556 feet)

Everything has gone up and those who keep this country moving seem to be the ones to stay on a low income whilst those who are rich are getting richer! Off the backs of the backbone of this country!
Every retail worker needs to just stop working, anyone earning less than £30,000 at least, needs to stop working! Until they get to also take multiple holidays a year like these idiots who push pollution on others but are the actual reason for most the pollution in the world.
