The light switches in your bedroom might be connected to an outlet. That’s how my light switch is in my room. I have no overhead lights either and have a floor lamp plugged into the outlet and can use the light switch to turn the lamp on and off.
I think that’s the case we just haven’t figured out what outlet 😂😂😂 real professionals over here

Husband and I just bought our first house too and moving in tomorrow...no couches or anything either...we are just happy to have our own place lol. Love your house though! It's gorgeous!
