Looked like a good meal, I like the coffee peculator. I've been drinking Colombian coffee lately. A really good idea to use the pan handle over the trangia 👍

Great day hike Paul. Freedom flyovers, that's what we call them among other things.... I live 6 miles from a Joint Special Ops base, a multitude of diverse aircraft and personnel stationed there. Coffee looked good, perfect for a morning wake up. Good idea the pot handle, always improvise. Wearing all that tweed, all you needed was a shotgun and dog😉 Sir Paul. Nice. Enjoy!

Paul, if everyone respected the earth as you do, we would have a beautiful planet. Next time you use your coffee pot, try espresso coffee in it, it makes great brew. I even got the six cup one for when my boys come home. I always add sugar as well. Delicious!
I've got the same one. That espresso will make three cups of regular strength coffee when mixed with 3 cups of boiling water. I drink it straight though, as you did. I enjoy your videos. Cheers from Vancouver Island.

That Trangia stove looks a nifty bit of kit and packs away very small. Any disadvantages Paul compared to the Jetboil clone you demonstrated some time ago? Good bit of innovation with the support for the coffee pot but Si (Rhialbran) has the award for his spirit cooker with the tent pegs as the flexible support for a range of cooking utensils. Can't beat a drop of soup and freshly brewed coffee on a cold Winter's day even with an envious pheasant watching. I guess he was thinking 'if everybody had ham hock soup I wouldn't have all these country gentlemen trying to shoot my brains out!' Maybe next time take the silver sugar tongs for a touch of class.
Good little stove, the only thing is you sometimes have to improvise like in this video...lol....the meths doesn't like the cold, so have to keep it in my pocket when the weather is cold......the jetboil cooks for longer with the gas, but I prefer the Trangia, nice solid bit of kit, and it's quite :-)

How I Go To The Woods Ordinarily I go to the woods alone, with not a single friend, for they are all smilers and talkers and therefore unsuitable. I don't really want to be witnessed talking to the catbirds or hugging the old black oak tree. I have my way of praying, as you no doubt have yours. Besides, when I am alone I can become invisible. I can sit on top of a dune as motionless as an uprise of weeds, until the foxes run by unconcerned. I can hear the almost unbearable sound of the roses singing. If you have ever gone into the woods with me, I must love you very much.
Now here's the difference between you and me...like the menue. Coffee and stew..but I would have cooked it all at home and put it in a couple of thermos's...in a knap sack...fire in woods scare me...6o clock news film at 11 Local man burns down woods...lol
loooooove coffee not a tea person only when i am sick or with a sore throat then green tea lemon or fresh boiled dark green lime fruits until they turn yellow then add sugar and honey but black coffee nothing in it...one type i dont like is espresso too strong for me
