Mate you are stealing from your community, doesn’t matter if you are stealing from ‘big business’ like Lidl or Tesco etc. They employ local people in your community. If they have to take security measures the goods in the shop get more expensive to cover the cost of security.

Do you think your local Lidl increases prices in that local branch because they lose 1p in the pound from shoplifting? They don't. And that extra security employs an additional person in your community. You really aren't making the point you think you are.

When the shrinkage starts to affect the profit margins of the shop the shop manager will be under pressure to hire a security guard and implement security measures to limit theft. This all costs money so the price of goods in that shop rise. Why do you think the local off licence is more expensive than the bigger supermarket.

It’s too easy for people with their mental health intact, a family, and probably a wonderful childhood to judge. I never steal, but I can see where he’s coming from (C-PTSD).
