Great video Peter. I’ve never heard such a comparison between the double horn and the Viennese horn, such different qualities. You’ve given me some great ideas for my warm ups, thank you.
Hello, thank you for your video. I am interested in buying your book. I want to ask if it is only available as a physical book or can it be purchased digitally. I am in Australia. Many thanks Neil
Thanks for sharing Peter. Not only a good warm up, but nice to hear your beautiful tone when doing it. I have lots of work to do to approach the smoothness and resonance on the Wiener Horn. Best Wishes!
It is a Jungwirth 'Demahl' model. More recently, Jungwirth is making a Genossenschaft model that features a more open 3rd valve loop. Both are superior instruments but with slightly different playing characteristics, the Demahl is very consistent throughout the range giving one a controlled feel. The Genossenschaft model feel's more open (less resistant) and slightly more free-blowing. This model previously was the basis of the Yamaha 601 design.
Sehr gute Hilfe für die Horngemeinschaft! Danke Peter!📯😎

Hello! What brand of mouthpiece are you using? This is french horn în F or Bb?
Most Vienna Horn players choose a Windhager Vienna Horn mouthpiece. Many bowl shapes, mouthpiece bores, and rims from which to choose.
Thank you for the information.
The Viennese french horn has a special sonority.
