Thanks mate, yeah have crack if your keeping the colour simple it's not that hard, metallics as you've seen can be a real headache at home. It's worth the learning experience cheers!
Hey mate, looking great. Don't wreck those beautiful panels by drilling them for tonneau brackets - have a look at alloy hardlids instead. Love mine - such a cleaner look. 👍
Thanks mate, the quarters are already drilled from the factory so I am committed now. I just need to do the tailgate but I agree it's a shame to drill in them but I sort of want that old school factory look but slightly upgraded with everything so all good.
@@BarnesysBuilds Good on you mate, it'll be a beautiful thing when it hits the road. Looks like you might be cursed with dirt roads like me - makes me cry not being able to have a clean car - ever. Can't wait to see it finished 👍
Grouse...... Good to see you back, I need you to help me with motivation levels. I'm depending on it.😆. Yeh, nah seriously though. A well put together episode.
Get a button on tonneau cover mate, then you only need to drill and pop rivet 1 half of the buttons along the top of your tali gate and quauters. Much easier than drill shit loads along the panels with less chance of fucking your paint.
@@BarnesysBuilds right .....my bad Those factory lugs are a pain in the arse make sure your holes are clear of paint product or you will pash low spots in your panels
Another great episode, its getting so close now! The tailgate and full width bumper look awesome as does the bonnet. Also loved seeing what you have been up to on your property, plenty to do there also. Keep up the great work.
Good day barn's bloody beautiful job on the bonnet and tailgate are you going to fit the two wire slings for the tailgate keep them video's coming cheers buddy
Gday Barnesy, Rare spares didn’t miss ya on the rubber kit, the bonnet on camera looked floor-less and the tailgate looks the part now, the build is coming along nicely, looks bloody dry where your been laying the pipes, awesome job and thanks for the update mate, cheers
The bonnet is pretty good but I was just chasing perfection and I was so close, hence why I was pissed when it went south. Yeah it's basically solid sand stone and clay here. Upside down country, from mining days. Top soil well gone.
Maybe you could post on Facebook or something for a local prosecutor to come out there and run down each side of the trench with his detector on all the dirt already dug out. Let him do all the work, then go him halves if he finds something, you never know your luck, you might get a few bucks to put into the WB 😉
@@ryanadams3858 I've already run over a section with an ALDI detector 😂 I want to hire a Minelab GPZ 7000 and have a real crack at a few areas. Probably more relics than nuggets though, most was alluvial out that way.
nice work... rubber magic isn't to protect the rubber, it helps to bush and slip rubbers on, and it is magic. use it when you do suspension rubber. you won't do without it again.
Dry as nuns 😂. What I like is your honesty, you could tell us that you’ve mastered the spray gun , because it looks perfect o camera, but you let everyone else who might want to have a crack at a home resto what they might come across. Looking real good mate .👍
I'd be happy if I could get a paint finish like yours Barnsey. The whole ute is coming along nicely. Rare Spares are crap. Keep em coming. When you can. Cheers. 👌👌👍
Thanks mate, yeah it's a real love hate relationship with rare spares, some things are good but then some are very bad. Hopefully get the next vid out faster👍
I too have put the old Holden on hold to install irrigation around my property aswell as fruit trees etc. Maybe you should start a second channel on youtube documenting what you're doing around the place.
Nice, fruit trees are definitely on the cards. I did think about that actually, I would certainly have a lot of interesting work content for it that's for sure. 👍
Thanks mate, yeah I persisted with crappy audio for a while but ended up buying a pair of RODE wireless GO 2 system. Game changer as you can have the receiver on the tripod and walk 50 metres away and still have crisp audio from the mic on your shirt. It's a little expense but worth it.
Thanks I'll have a look at those, Watching your videos is what inspired me to have a crack at TH-cam! It's not quite as easy as it looks and I respect what guys like you have achieved on here. Cheers mate.
@@The-State-of-it thanks mate, I reckon you will slot into it no dramas at all! I've watched your vid and your editing and video structure is pretty engaging, I think it will be a really interesting build series seeing your involving a shop as well. Good luck with it mate👍

Thanks mate, yes I was going to grab one this week, risky without one! Just wanted to find one with rubber coated cable but they don't exist.
Hey Barnsey, always admire your dedication to doing the best. Great to see an update
