Great video! Thank you Dr. Falk!
I was wondering if you could have a lecture focused on mitochondrial transplantation and would love to hear your opinion.
    Once again, thank you!

Could a nano-machine ligand be be made to bring ParkinPink1 to the mitochondria autophagy receptor on the membrane of the mutant mitochondria? Talk to Dr. David Lee at San Diego Medical University Hospital. Koga says Hi.

Can you tell me where we can get our mitochondria sequenced? Thank you 🙏

For those who are suffering from Mitochondria issues and want to be tested for it you can find information on how to do that from the United Mitochondria Disease Foundation aka UMDF. They have support groups and list of doctors and may even offer some genetic testing.

Maybe I'm missing something but I thought the endosymbiosis was between methanogens and a-proteobacteria?

Purple sulphur bacteria are a sup-group of photosynthetic proteobacteria. In the case of mitochondrial endosymbiosis we can be more specific and identify Purple Sulphur Bacteria as being the likely proto-mitochondrion rather than being more general and talking about proteobacteria as a group. I am not sure where methanogens come into this process.

@@uploads2051 To clarify, I meant that, since the archezoan hypothesis has been discredited, I assumed that an archeal methanogen host was the most probable solution. However, thank you for your explanation on purpule sulfur bacteria- it was very helpful.
